Good chapter of Saw (I mean Reckless) I think were starting to see how Logan get's so warped in the future.
Author's Response: If I imitate movies, it's completely subconscious... *shifty eyes* As much as I enjoyed Saw for the disturbing comparison between antagonist and protagonist brutality, I assure you, whether or not Logan "appreciates" life is not up for debate and there's really no game he gets to play, besides "lay down and scream." How can Niki be so clueless? Pearce is the one thats infected! And this whole little thing where Loga's staying away from her isnt going to last very long.

"There's a reason we have crosswalks!" Hilarious. Good thing there was a way around that, can't have Niki caring about what's RIGHT... And obviously, Logan going back to his wife will last. Oh yeah. (BTW, maybe a stupid question, but is that spring water thing a reference to something?)
Author's Response: I had hoped the water-deal wasn't that obvious, but changing people by splashing water on them kinda turns into Logan's modus operandi.

Hey, My uncle turned himself into a Duck, it's not funny. otherwise Great Chapter.
Author's Response: Jeez, sorry about your uncle. Duckification is a tragic occurance which is usually misdiagnosed as insanity of the person reporting it. I figured this oddly common cautionary tale would be good to show Pearce's concern (yeah right!), thanks for the reviews!!! |

Yes! Updates! And another Joey cameo. And some arc development, with Niki finding out about the infection. I like Hobbs. Also, I like how you've grasped how romance - if you can call Logan's and Niki's relationship that - should be written in this kind of fiction: happy sappy = boring, hating mating = interesting. Let's see what Logan comes up with...

R-A-M-O-N-E-S! Great little cameo for Joey, he always seemed like a nice guy. Birk seems like an interesting character (though did people actually use the term "dog" back in '85?) Anyway, you've got my rapt attention, hey ho, let's go!
Author's Response: Alright, you got me. Dog was a little awkward, but I'm trying really hard to get the 80's lingo right (I don't recall much of the 80's), so if you personally have a substitute, I'd be glad to dub it in 'dog's' place. Thanks for reviewing! |

I have a feeling things are about to get really interesting. So Pearce has been infected all this time? Who would have thunk? Or maybe I just missed it happening. Damn now I gotta go back and look for it. Anyways, great job as always. Update soon, I'm really loving this story.
Author's Response: Hooray! I was just subtle enough! I had thought I had made Pearce's infection too obvious, but you've made my day. More on the specifics of the Plague is coming up in later episodes, but they're going to take a break from the whole Nosphorus business for a while. Thanks for being a loyal reader! |

| Don't take this the wrong way, but this feels less like a Joss Whedon story, and more like a John Carpenter movie (I'm a huge Carpenter fan, so it's a good thing) with the gritty, flawed (I mean moraly) Characters, and the closetraphobic, feel of the whole thing, I love it! |
