UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer will venture into even more risque territory
as the relationship between Spike and the Slayer heats up, according to rumored
spoilers reported by an anonymous source to SCI FI Wire. In the most recent
original episodes, Spike and Buffy took their love-hate relationship to a new
level.
In coming episodes, the source reported, Spike (James Marsters) and Buffy (Sarah
Michelle Gellar) engage in sexual shenanigans in the Bronze, Sunnydale's only
nightclub; Spike tries to persuade Buffy to let him turn her into a vampire;
and Buffy--still experiencing mysterious side effects from her resurrection--takes
a stake to the heart, with no ill effect. New Buffy episodes return to UPN in
January.

Gone
Ep: 11. Airdate: 1/8/02. Writer: David Fury.
Buffy is accidentally turned invisible by the supervillains and a new toy of
theirs.
Buffy takes advantage of her new situation by paying Spike a visit and messing
with [deserving] people.
Xander confronts Willow, discovers Spike in the middle of something with an
Invisible Buffy, and spends some quality time bickering with his fiance.
After meeting with a social worker about Dawn, Buffy takes her anger out on
her own hair, which later requires some professional assistance and ends up
much shorter.
Willow uses a *tiny* bit of magic, but stops herself before the magic serves
its purpose or she gets caught, and she still feels guilty.
Buffy finally discovers the supervillains and their evil plans.
Doublemeat Palace
Ep: 12. Writer: Jane Espenson. (This info was "prior to filming" info,
which is subject to change on the set/cutting room.)
With the super villains mysteriously "gone" for the ep, the show returns
to a good monster-of-the-week episode. And the hero of the episode? Not Buffy.
Buffy gets a job in fast food (hence the title), and when co-workers start ending
up in pieces, the mystery behind the meat comes into question.
Willow works on staying clear of magic, but Amy gives her an unwanted gift and
Willow is forced to make a big decision.
Buffy tries to ignore the temptation that is Spike, but fails. A little sexual
taunting and innuendo turns into much more.
A vengeance demon friend of Anya's visits and Anya's life as a demon and her
relationship with Xander is questioned and reconsidered by the soon-to-be-wed
couple.
Dead Things
Ep: 13. Writer: Steven S. DeKnight. Director: James A Contner
This will *not* be lighthearted. Mostly dark material and some scenes that may
not make it to air.
NEW! There is a death, but it's not one of the Scoobies. It's a villainous act
that shakes a lot of characters up and sets up potential for the big bad...if
there
is such a thing this season.
NEW! Dawn and Xander dance together in preparation for the wedding.
Older and Far Away
Ep: 14.
NEW! Buffy's birthday ep. Pain, mayhem, alcohol, family drama--like she could
ever have an non-crazy birthday.
NEW! Tara is very much alive at the end of this ep.

UPN Teleconference memo for Dec 19th
February Olympics In looking at the past performance against the Olympics,
the question is "Strategically does UPN go with originals or specials?"
The following is tentative:
Buffy 3 originals 1 preemption (Feb 12 "Space Jam"
NBA All Star
week)
*The three episodes feature Buffy thinking she accidentally killed someone
*Dawn feels neglected and she wishes never to be left alone which means no one
can leave the house
*Riley comes back.
