Darin MacNamara und sein Bruder Jack veranstalten moderne Gladiatorenkämpfe, bei denen sie Dämonen gegeneinander antreten lassen. Die beiden entführen Angel. Die Flucht ihrer Opfer wird durch ein magisches Armband verhindert: Überschreiten die Gefangenen eine bestimmte Markierung, lösen sie sich in Nichts auf. Zwar machen Cordelia und Wesley die Arena ausfindig, doch wirklich helfen können sie Angel noch nicht. Erst ein Aufstand der Gladiatoren bringt die Wende.
