As she started walking her mind started reeling. Then it hit her, like a brick wall. I’M DEAD! She widened her eyes and took a sharp inhale she knew she didn’t need because she was dead and tears fell down her cheeks. What was she a ghost? Then the answer came back to her duh…of course she was. Her hand went to her head as she began to feel lightheaded. Without realizing it she suddenly fell to the ground, shaking. Her life was gone. She had died fighting demons she had died alone. She felt uncomfortable then and alone and scared.
She couldn’t believe that before she had been so mellow about her being…dead. Maybe it was a state of shock.
“Please.” She whimpered, “I can’t be dead, I haven’t…” It then dawned on her what she hadn’t done, when she was alive, and what she had taken for granted. Another thing hit her then, her mom! Giles! Xander! Willow! Oz! But then the tears came down hard as she thought of Angel. She started sobbing uncontrollably. She lost everything so quickly. She wondered what he was doing right now. He was wither at the library, the Mansion, the Bronze, or at one of Sunnydale’s twelve cemeteries. Usually he was just there, right when she needed him. She needed him right now, and he wasn’t here, he couldn’t be. She was dead. Buffy got up and wiped her eyes and headed in the direction of Sunnydale’s hospital. They had a morgue there and that’s where she figured her body would be.
