The Scooby Gang all just stared at the dirty girl, not even their eyes were trusting her.
"She got attacked by a bunch of vampires out in the alley and then i saved her at the last moment when the vampires were trying to suck the blood out of her," Buffy almost yelled, stepping in front of the girl to protect her from her friends.
"So you're from the Powers then?" asked Giles, the Watcher, cleaning his glasses like always.
The girl just looked at him solemnly and said " Yeah I am. I was sent here to help their two Champions. The Slayer and her lover, the Vampire with a Soul, Angel.
But i guess i see only one and that's her. I had to help her because they knew even she couldn't destroy what was coming. What was coming to the Hellmouth."
"And what exactly is coming?" Willow asked curiously.
The girl took a deep breath and then said slowly," The end of the world as we know it. I know you guys had apocalypses before, but this is different. This is much different.
Legend has it when the Powers That Be had chosen their two Champions, Buffy and Angel, the Hellmouth was determined to destroy the two Champions once and for all by bringing in the most difficult apocalypse to destroy their world.
It wanted to destroy them so much because they were the thing that was standing between the Hellmouth and saving the Earth and with them in the way, the Hellmouth couldn't open up and take over the world like it wanted to because of them.
It wanted so bad to take over the world and to make every human be turned into a evil vampire so it can reign and take over. It wanted the Darkness to rule the world.
Buffy and Angel's courage and love was the one thing that was stopping the Hellmouth and destroying them was the only way to take over the world.
It could explain why they put an evil spell on Angel, turning them into Angelus so he can be on their side, not the Powers'.
Without him as her fellow Champion, it will look like Buffy would have to face this alone. If it comes to that," the girl stared at Buffy," she would have to kill Angel again."
No one had spoken after that speech, not even Cordelia. Buffy was just staring at the girl, slowly realizing that she might have to kill her love again.
Once was hard enough but she knew in her heart she couldn't do it again. She didn't say a word.
The girl continued. " That's not the only bad news i have. If you Buffy shouldn't stop the apocalypse by the beginning of dawn, the end of the world will become just that, destroying everything in its path, including you, your friends, your family, and Angel.
The whole sky will turn black and the moon will drip in blood for all eternity, killing everything in its path."
For a moment, Buffy was quiet. "So then what do we have to do?"
The girl smiled ruefully at the Slayer. " Well, for one thing, we cannot go out there for a while.
The vampires will become much more stronger and faster than you can handle since the Hellmouth is taking over, giving them new powers, making them more stronger.But i got something that will help."
She smiled mysteriously, then with some sort of pouch, gathered up a handful of golden dust and threw it into the air. For a moment, nothing happened.
Then a blue and golden glow crashed through the air, blinding the Scooby Gang as two beings appeared, covered in gold.
The Slayer covered her eyes, then the brightness disappeared.
The girl smiled at the Slayer. "Slayer, I would like you to meet The Oracles, the messengers for the Powers That Be."
For a moment, the Scooby Gang stared at them in awe, their golden bodies radiating with power.
Buffy couldn't help staring at them. She walked forward, her body almost touching the golden halo that lingered around the beings.
The brother and sister stared down at her, then smiled.
"So you're The Oracles then huh?" the Slayer asked casually, placing her Dagger under her jacket.
"Welcome, Slayer and Champion. We've been expecting you that you would needed help. But where is the other Champion? The Vampire with the Soul?" the sister Oracle asked, puzzled.
The Slayer just looked down at her feet. "They took him away from me."
The sister Oracle smiled in sympathy. "Don't worry, Slayer, you will save your love again. It is your duty. I know how much you love him. That is why you are a true Champion, risking your life for your loved ones and others.
That is why the Powers and us have decided to give you this to help with your most difficult duty."
The Sister Oracle tossed something Buffy's way when she catched it.
It was a medallion, beautiful but ancient. It was a dark copper color, with a huge diamond stone that shimmered in the middle. Buffy could feel it's power. This was a gift from the Powers. Buffy could feel it. It felt very powerful.
"What is this?" she asked.
The Brother Oracle spoke. "This is the Champion's Medallion. It was worn by all of the Slayers before you in each generation. the stone carries each of their power to help you become more stronger.
With this Medallion, it will give you the strength of a uber Slayer, the most powerful and strongest Slayer ever.
You will become that. This is your reward for countless times you have saved the world in the process and protecting your loved ones from danger.
You and the vampire with the soul have become our greatest warriors, our greatest Champions. And the Powers and us are decided that you two deserved it more than anyone.
Clasp it around your neck and you would feel the Medallion making you stronger, strong enough to save your true love.
We will give you Angel's Medallion as well. When you put it around his neck, it will break the evil spell it casts on. But it will only work when you give him your love and strength for him, Slayer.
You only have until dawn to find him and destroy the Hellmouth before it tries to take over. To warn you, you cannot destroy it yet until it reaches Human form.
Be careful, Champion. It can be anyone it wants to be. The only way you can destroy it is if it's eyes are glowing a dark and evil black.
But you can only destroy it when you and Angel fight it together using your weapons that we had given you. That is the only way to stop the Hellmouth from opening again.
If you two shall destroy it, you will no longer be in duty of Slayer and Champion. You will live a normal life but will still have Slayer Powers in case. As for Angel, he will become human once again forever. He will still have his Vampire Powers as well. You two will no longer be the Champions for the Powers That Be."
Buffy smiled fiercely at The Oracles, feeling proud and determined to finish this for good.
This time I know we will win this battle once and for all....
