“So you knew Ethan since you were a little boy?” Fred asked, sipping her coffee.
“Yes. I, he and Giles were together all through our school years. Well. We were. Until now.” He said sadly.
“It’s ok Wes. He’s gone to a better place.” Fred said, placing her hand on his.
Wesley looked at their hands and smiled. “By the way. Did you happen to notice how close Angel and Lindsey were? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Angel like that around anyone.” Wesley told Fred.
"Me neither. Lindsey hasn't had many girlfriends at all. He was always.....hanging with the guys! Do you think.....maybe...they're together?" Fred asked.
"I suppose. Angel never had many girlfriends either. And he was always with the guys. Plus I'm pretty sure he checked me out a few times in the boys locker room." Wesley said thoughtfully, reaching into his pocket for his wallet.
But instead of pulling out his wallet, he pulled out a folded piece of paper.
He frowned. "What's this?"
Then he saw Ethan's handwriting on it. 'Wesley'
He opened it and lay it flat on the table so Fred could read it as well.
Dear Wesley and Fred as well if my calculations are correct.
I'm sorry for what I put you through. Really, I am. I wish there was an easier way of doing this, but there isn't. If you're reading this, well I'm sure you can tell I'm not with you anymore.
I wish I could tell you everything, but I can't. Some things have been taken to my grave already. But I guess since I'm gone, I can spill someone elses secret as well. But I won't.
I love you all. Make sure to tell them that? Or show them this letter, which ever is easier for you.
Don't worry about me. I'm better off where I am. No really, I'm serious.

Wesley and Fred were shocked. But not about Ethan. But about the P.S part of the letter.
"Angel and Lindsey are a couple!"
"Well, I guess we just missed all the signs." Wes said.
Fred looked at Wesley as he read the letter again.
Wesley looked at Fred out the corner of his eye, wondering when he would have the courage to ask her out.
"Wesley." Fred inturupted.
"Yes Fred?"
"Umm. I know we havent known each other very long and all, but umm...."
"Yes Fred?"
"Wouldyougooutwithme?"
"Huh?"
"Would you go out with me?"
Wesley's jaw dropped. "I was just about to ask you the same thing!"
"So is that a yes?" she asked shyly.
Wesley slipped off his chair and stood in front of Fred, his lips inches from hers. "Of course it's a yes. It's been yes since the moment I saw you." he said before he kissed her.
And Fred knew she had the man of her dreams.
