Buffy stared with her eyes wide open at Angel, trying to take all the new info she recieved in to her head, still having a hard time comprehending that he was the other Champion, her supposed partner against the forces of Darkness.
Suddenly, all the bitterness and and anger she had for him melted away like snow when she dropped her stake and ran up to him, hugging him fiercely against her chest, tears spilling from her eyes as her hands wrapped around his tall body, not feeling the need to be angry at him anymore.
She couldn't be. He was still alive and okay. That was what really mattered. Nothing else did. What she felt inside was a case of happiness bursting through her, making her feeling giddy and excited that he was her partner who was going to help her fight evil beside her, encouraging her, helping her, loving her, comforting her.
It was everything she had wanted and longed for so long since she became the Chosen One.
Angel hesitated, looking down on Buffy when he wrapped his arms around her protectively, not wanting tor anything bad to happen to her. His love. His partner. His other Champion.
He didn't want to admit it then but he loved her so much. He always did since they first met. Even when he wasn't there to help her. He was always watching her in the darkness, even though she didn't knew it.
He was her Angel. Always.
"Are you okay?" Angel asked weakly, feeling Buffy's emotions swirling through him, even her fierce love for him.
"Yeah...I'm ok. You're ok so that makes me feel ok as well." was all Buffy said before Angel placed a kiss to her forehead, feeling his protectiveness for her. A fierce white glow pummeled between the two Champions, sending them flying a few feet past the tombstones.
Buffy lay beside a ground of dirt, looking around for Angel. He lay beside her, grumbling and shaking dirt off his head when Buffy looked at the strong glow, noticing something shiny and sharp glistening on the ground.
"Stay here," Buffy warned Angel, running off to find the object laying on the ground. Buffy picked up the object slowly, noticing that it was a silver wicked looking dagger, its silver blade looking sharp and deadly. Buffy looked at the Victorian carved handle, reading words carved on it.
"Into every generation a Slayer is born. Slayer and fellow Champion," she whispered, feeling the power of the blade flowing through her.
She felt the strength and love of her and Angel both which was odd. Instinctively she knew that her and Angel's love had created the dagger. She felt his love flowing through her, calming her. It was a gift from the Powers.
She placed the dagger under her belt, a smile spreading across her face. "Hey Angel, look at what I got. A new toy," Buffy teased, handing the blade to Angel.
She knew the blade was made for her. Made to be used against fighting evil.
Angel stared at the blade, his face becoming more relaxed as he examined it. "It's from the Powers. I can feel it," he whispered, awe crossing his handsome features.
"Yeah, somehow i knew that." Buffy stared, looking at something hiding behind Angel's black duster. "It looks like you got something too," she nodded her head. Angel flapped his jacket, seeing a sharp edged sword falling under it. It was also silver and sharp like the dagger. It was a Kitana sword. Words intertwined across the handle, reading : Fellow Champion. the Vampire with the Soul.
"Cool looking sword. Thank the Powers they gave us something really useful," said Buffy, playing with her dagger.
Angel smiled but only had one thing in mind. " Kiss me," he pleaded. Buffy only smiled. "Yes, your majesty."
And they kiss. Looking forward to fighting their first battle together as the Champions of the Powers That Be and as lovers as well despite everything that had happened.
This is only the beginning.....

P.S. I might be able to make a crossover of this with the new fic im planning to write soon to write about thier first battle together which i thought may be kinda cool but i don't know if you guys would like the idea. But im gonna work on it anyways.
