Summery: After Buffy’s Death Dawn is called as the slayer. Set 5 years after season 7. Spike, Dawn, Angel and Willow have a little body swapping problem read it its ace. (Not that I’m gloating or anything ;-)
Author’s notes: short chapter I know but they will get longer. I promise.
Part 9
Angel rushed out of the shower hearing somebody knocking at the door. Fastening the towel round his waist he went to answer it. He looked through his spy hole surprised to see Willow he opened the door.
“Hey Willow” Angel greeted
Willow smiled back.
“Hey Angel, just wondered if you wanted to talk. I’m not really in the mood to go and see everybody so I though I’d come and visit my best pal.” Willow said.
Angel didn’t know what to do the first time Willow had ever come to see him and he looked a mess, his hair was dripping and he was only covered in a towel. He decided to invite her in.
“Glad ya thought of coming to see me. Come in sorry I’m such a mess, just been in the shower, you can sit on the sofa whilst I get dried up.” Angel told her.
Willow realised then that she hadn’t even noticed that Angel wasn’t dressed. She smiled apologetically.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt you. I can go if you want?” Willow stated
Angel just shook his head.
“There's no need, you’re always welcome here.” Angel replied.
Angel went to his room so he could get changed.
Willow sat looking around Angel’s new house; it was beautiful but still looked nearly the exact same as his old one in Sunnydale. It was dark yet welcoming she wondered how he did it. As she was pondering Angel re-entered the room. He stood in the doorway admiring Willow. He looked at everything about her. The way she crinkled her nose when she didn’t understand something. The way she could just sit there oblivious to everything else and not even care. Eventually he decided to wake her from her concentrating. He crossed the room and sat down next to her.
“So Willow any particular reason you came round?” Angel asked
“Like I said a minute ago I’m not in the mood to see the others so I thought I would come and see you instead.” Willow replied
“Have you seen anyone today then?” Angel questioned
Willow thought about it. She had seen Kennedy but she knew if she started talking about it, she would only get upset again. She sighed then answered
“Yep, I saw Kennedy when I went for a walk this morning.” Willow answered
“Did she act strangely with you?” Angel said
“No.” Willow murmured “If anything I was strange with her.”
Angel was about to reply but Willow butted in.
“I know it was mean of me it’s just that I can’t help it Angel. I haven’t seen her for three years and then people expect me to just be okay with it all. I’m not strong Angel I’m weak and I keep telling people but they don’t believe me. Magick is powerful not me.” Willow cried.
Angel didn’t know what to say to her little outburst. He didn’t want to upset her anymore but he didn’t want to stay quiet either.
“Look Willow I understand but the fact is it’s up to you how you feel. Other people shouldn’t be there to judge you. I’m not here to judge you, I’m here in case you ever need somebody to talk to.”
Willow locked eyes with Angel both being lost in the loneliness of the others. Willow was the first to break it moving closer to him so they could cuddle. Angel took Willow in his arms feeling peaceful. Angel looked down at the red head in his arms. She looked up in return before leaning up so she could place a small kiss on his lips. He moved in closer so he could kiss her in return. She made no move to stop him enjoying the fact that he made her feel cared for. Their lips moved over each others for what seemed like a lifetime. Willow then laid her head on Angel’s chest melting into him as he stroked her shiny hair.
