Reviews: I CRAVE them!!

Conner's footsteps echoed down the alleys of L.A. He was growing really agitated of the cold. Dad where are you? he thought. When Angel said for him to ho home, Conner knew he couldn't. He ran out the doors of Wolfram&Hart and headed to a familiar place. The Hotel. The hotel wasn't exactly comforting, but with all his new and old or fake and real or whatever, he just couldn't separate the real from the dangerous. The doors of the hotel were locked, but with his newly founded strength, getting in was easy.

He walked toward the weapon’s cabinet. Thankfully the weapons were still inside of it. Conner grabbed a crossbow, a double sided axe, and two swords. After a minute, the crossbow was strapped to his shoulder, along with a pack a bolts. The sword sheathed to his hip and the axe was was hanging loosely from his left hand. The weapons really slowed him down but that didn't matter. What mattered was finding his father.

Now here he was, an hour later and no closer to finding his dad. Again he thought, Dad where are you?
He tried to track his scent but he kept getting thrown off. It had been about a year since he really had to track anyone. Conner quickened his pace and started focusing on his hearing. Immediately he realized he should have done this earlier. He heard footsteps and quiet talking.

"We have to find him, Oz. When Giles told me what happened to Fred...I felt so horrible. I couldn’t do any thing. And then the vision the the seer at the coven had..." the woman broke off. "We will." the man reassured her. "He's close by. I can smell him. Conner scowled at that. He seems to have mastered that, he thought. Still, he perked at that last sentence. He might find a lead on his dad. He followed the voices. Up ahead he found two young people. The man he didn't know, but the woman he did.

"Willow." he muttered under his breath. The man stopped and cocked his head at the sound of Conner’s voice, like a wolf. A low growl escaped from his throat. He whispered something to Willow. Conner stepped out from behind the shadows. "Willow!" he yelled. Both of them turned around, on their guard. The red headed witch squinted, then opened her eyes in shock.

"Conner?" he nodded. "Oh thank goddess. Oz this is Angel's son." Oz wearily glanced at Conner, but Willow touched his hand and he smiled. " 'Sup?" Conner nodded again and looked back at Willow. "I can't find him anywhere." Willow looked at the sad and fearful look upon his face. A face that looked so much like Angel's. She walked up to him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. Willow smiled warmly at him and said,” Stop worrying. We'll find him. I promise you."

Then she closed her eyes and let the magicks flow through her veins. Willow began chanting a simple incantation. "Aradia, hear my call. Find the ensouled one." Conner watched in amazement as a bright green call of light formed in front of her. The brilliant witch smiled, panting slightly. "Find Angel." She instructed it. The light then started in the direction they came from. Willow walked with it and the boys followed. It lead them to another alley, this time one filled with screams. In the midst of it all, Angel, fighting for his life.

"Angel!" Willow screamed with terror in her voice. She raised her arm and said, "Enflamaro!" The closest six demos surrounding Angel went up in flames, screaming in agony as they burned to the ground. Angel turned around and ran toward Willow and said awkwardly, “Thanks."

"Yeah. Any time." She smiled and embraced Angel, hugging him tightly and choking back a sob. She sniffled and said,” It kind of looks like you have your plate full."

"Maybe a little bit. We royally pissed some higher beings off."

"Who hasn't done that?" Willow said with a smile. She then turned to Oz and started being serious. "You know the drill." Willow backed up and pulled a small, red velvet bag out of her jean pocket. Conner wasn't paying attention to her, though. He was entranced with Oz.

Oz shuddered and started to convulse in pain. Fur covered his entire body and he went on all fours. Oz, now a werewolf, roared and tore off the head of the nearest demon. Turning his attention to Willow, Conner watched as she made a pentagram out of the golden sand in the little bag. Willow looked up at him and laughed slightly. "You brought all of those weapons. Do something with them." he nodded and grabbed the cross bolt of his back.

Conner notched seven bolts in place and aimed at the dragon (who was spitting fire) above. He shot three bolts and threw the axe to his father. Angel caught it in midair and smiled. Then he started hacking away.

"Stay behind me, human." Illyria shrieked at Gunn stabbing the 35 foot giant in the ankle. It roared in pain and raised its foot to step on her. She dodged it and stabbed again, this time hitting deeper, to the bone. It roared once again and swung down low at her head. She smirked. Stupid monster, she thought. The demon giant bent down to get a better look at the small Illyria. She smiled again. Confused it smiled a toothy grin back at her. "Stupid." She said underneath her breath.

She leaned down low and leaped into the air, raising her sword and aiming for his eye. She stretched her arm and with a violent jab she demolished the giant's eyes. The giant swatted around blindly, her a chance for the killing blow. She gripped onto the thing's eat and brought her sword around the demon's neck slicing a deep cut through it.

The demon screamed a high pitched yell and went tumbling to the ground taking Illyria with him. As he fell to the ground, she jumped off the dead giant and landed grace fully next to a still fighting Gunn.

"How are you fairing?" she asked Gunn watching him with interest. "Oh,uh, I'm alright." he responded, breathing heavily. Gunn raised his sword to block a hard blow aimed at his neck. Illyria smiled at him.

"You amuse me human." She walked up behind the demon Gunn was fighting and gripped it around the neck, cutting off its air supply and lifting off the ground.
With one swift crack, she snapped its neck. Panting, Gunn took a second to catch his breath. He was getting weaker by the second.

"Thanks." Illyria looked at him oddly. The humans are beginning to accept me, she thought, as I am to them.
"Illyria, duck!!"Gunn screamed at her. Duck? she thought, The misusage of the English language that the humans use appalls me.

Gunn watched in horror a as huge fyrall demon swung his axe at Illyria's neck.

"Willow," Angel said watching Oz tear the nearest demon to bits. "Oz knows the difference between us and the bad guys, right?" Willow nodded and sat in the middle of her pentagram . "How did you find us?" Angel asked. He knew Willow needed to concentrate, but if Willow and Oz were going to risk their lives for his fight, he needed to know why.

Willow crossed her legs and sighed. "Angel, I promise we will get through this. Then I will explain everything." Angel nodded. "At least tell me what spell you're doing." Willow agreed and tried to explain. "It's kinda complicated, so pay attention." Willow spoke with a commanding and regal voice that Angel had never heard before. He found himself proud of the powerful woman standing in front of him. Angel nodded for her to continue.

"I'm going to pray for the goddess of war, Myra, to bless us each with enhanced powers." "Um, I probably missed something but that isn't that complicated." Angel replied failing to see the catch.

"The complicated part is that we don't know who gets what. Someone here might get all the power or it could be split equally or the entire thing could be a bust." Angel took a second to take this new bit of information in.

"Is it permanent?"

"Yes. That's why this is going to take so much out of me. My energy alone isn't going to do it," panic rose up in her voice and she became nervous."I-I'm about to handle some serious magicks. D-Dark Magick. I need to know if I lose it, you'll be able to do what Oz can't."

She fixated him with a serious look. Comprehension rose to Angel's mind when he finally understood what Willow was asking. He had heard from Wesley what had happened when Willow's girlfriend, Tara, had been shot and killed more than two years previously.

"I have complete faith that you can control the darker side of you." Angel stated. Willow smiled but said, "That isn’t what I asked." Angel reluctantly said,” If I have to."

"That's all I ask. I don't want to hurt anyone."

She closed her eyes and continued to concentrate. Well, as much as you could concentrate during a demonic war. Willow opened her body and started to hum. "Protégés!"(French for protect) she said and dark blue energy radiated off her and each point of the pentagram. She opened her black eyes and said to Angel,"The shield will protect me. Go. Help your son."
Angel nodded again and turned to the ongoing battle.
