The night after Connor and Dawn's date
Angel sat in his apartment looking at the wall."What am I supposed to do now?I saved the world from Wolfram and Hart the least I could get is a thank you note from the Powers That fucking Be!"
Angel asked himself and threw a picture of Buffy,Willow,and Xander at the wall.He thought about the day she had given that to him.About 5 years ago she told him that she wanted to be with him forever.
"Yeah right."He mumbled to himself thinking about Spike.
Then the phone rang,"Hello?"
"Dad!It's me."It was Connor and he sounded really excited.
"Hey Connor.Right now isn't really a good-"
"I needed to tell someone about the date I had last night and I thought of telling my dad.Well,my real dad."They both laughed.Ever since Connor had found out that Angel was really his dad he turned to him with any news.Good or bad.
"Oh.Well,how did it go?"
"Great.I really love her.She is a freshman but it seems like I could really get to like her."
"So what's her name?"
"Oh her name is D-Hold on that's my other line." Connor clicked over,"Dawn?"He asked hopefully.
"Yeah,"She giggled,"How did you know?"
"I don't know.Wishful thinking I guess.Um...I'm talking to my dad on the other line-"
"Oh,okay.I'll call back later."
"No,no,no.That's alright.I'll tell him I'll call him back later.Just a sec,"He clicked back over,"Dad.It's her.I have to call you back.Bye dad."
"Bye Connor."Angel hung up and let them talk.It was good to hear from his son even if it was only for a minute.He went back to brooding.
