A/N: Hey guys...wow its been awhile and let me just say that its good to be able to update again! Anyway I don't want to take up your time with my authors note so i'll say what I need to say and thenlet you read. This chapter is soooo important!!! Plus there's a cliffhanger that might just shock you! Please review...I want to hear from you!!!!

Everything seemed to be in slow motion. The ambulance came in at a sharp turn and the wheels squealed. Cordelia cringed and moved closer to Xander who stared glassy eyed at the scene.

The ambulance beeped once and Cordelia yelped. No one looked at Cordelia or the ambulance everyone looked at her.

Buffy lie on the gravel, and she was still, dead. Willow was in shock next to her and squeezed Buffy’s hand, looking for a reaction. The squeeze wasn’t returned, instead the hand just seemed to slip and fall limp next to her body. “Buffy?” Willow whispered silently, getting as close as she dared.

Giles held the knife in his hand for a moment longer and then he dropped it, the blood draining from his face.

Angel just stared at Buffy. No one could read his expression, no one tried too…how could anyone even believe what he was going through? The EMTS came out of the truck and moved to the back, got their equipment and rushed forward.

“What happened?” A young blonde haired man asked.

Giles still stared at Buffy as he spoke. “Stabbed.” Was all he said.

Willow’s eyes widened and Oz came up and sat next to her as he got a closer look at Buffy’s body. “Damn.” He said. Simply stating the anger on his face and the grief. Willow would have pointed out the fact that his choice of words happened to be a curse but it didn’t matter. Nothing mattered at that moment because Willow was stuck. She had no idea what was going on, she was still trying to register “stabbed”.

She looked over to see Giles reach out and lightly touch Buffy’s face, as if that would make her come alive again.

“Oh God, oh God.” She said shaking her head; she was on the verge of a breakdown.

“Will…” Oz said coming closer.

“No, don’t touch me!” she sobbed, the tears starting up again.

Willow took a deep intake of breath and let Oz hug her. She sniffled and cried against his shoulder, knowing he couldn’t come up with any words of comfort that would make this seem better.
In the midst of all this the two men kept working. It seemed like they were doing the same thing over and over again.

The eerie silence didn’t break until the one of the men whispered to the other guy.

“She’s gone man.” The blonde guy said with a grim expression on his face.

“Call it, Don.” He said to his partner.

The one called Don took a deep breath and looked at his watch and then at Giles.

“We are going to call it in, someone will come and pick up the body and we’ll inform the police.”

Giles nodded and Don and the other man said their condolences.

Cordelia watched them go. “What are we going to do now?” she asked in a small voice. No one answered her. Willow and Oz moved away from Buffy’s body and to the corner. Willow was crying and Oz was offering words of comfort. As Xander got a closer look at the body his eyes widened. He walked over to the corner and threw up.

Giles still had a comatose expression on his face, but not as bad as Angel’s.

No one could really look at him, no one really wanted to see that expression of grief. Everyone had their own grief and was still trying to understand what had happened.

“No.” Angel and Giles said at the same time.

Before anyone could ask, a truck pulled in and a women and a man came out and rolled out a stretcher and a body bag. Giles got up and faced them; his face was pale and eyes bloodshot.

The man nodded once and then assisted the women in lifting the body up into the body bag. Willow came closer and, clinging to Oz for dear life. She was still in shock as everyone was.

Cordelia and Xander stood off to the side. Xander wiped his face, getting the vomit off his face. He had a weird look in his eye, almost like mixed emotions, that couldn’t be identified. Cordelia didn’t want to go closer but Xander was trying to get out of her grasp. Xander was trying to get as close as possible without breaking down or letting all the emotions out.

“There is noting you can do, now.” The man said to Angel and looked, slightly, at Giles. There was a tone to his voice that made Angel want to snap his neck.

He and the woman lifted the body bag onto the stretcher. As they moved, Angel caught a glimpse of something on both their necks. He glanced at Giles he noticed it too. But before they could say anything the two had lifted the body into the truck and drove away. Angel and Giles froze. The truck started up and started to turn out of the alley.

As soon as it got out of the alley the truck with Buffy’s body in it blew up.
