When Dawn got back to her dorm there was a note on her bed:
Hey Dawn,
I headed out of town for a three day weekend with the fam.I'll be back Sunday night or early Monday morning. Have fun and take notes for me.Love ya.Tiffany.
"Okay.Tiff isn't here so I'll...call Buffy.Yes she always loves to hear from me."Dawn told her self then picked up the phone and dialed Buffy's number.
"Hello?"
"Hey Buffy!It's Dawn."
"Oh,hey Dawnie.What's up at Stanford?"
"Well......I met a guy."
"Oh.Tell me the...wait.This guy is he pale and not able to go out into the sun and has really sharp teeth?Or is he a new teacher?"
"Neither.He's really hot and sweet and kinda dorky.But I like him and we almost had a date but-"
"But what?He had something else to do.Oh please he meant someone else to do if anything."Buffy told her but Dawn thought other wise.
"Buffy!Yes he had something else to do and if you're just going to keep pushing my hopes further and further down then I can go call one of my other friends or...Willow."Dawn knew that would get her.Even though Buffy and Willow were best friends she still hated the fact that Dawn would run to Willow with her problems.
"No,no.I'm sorry.So,did he get your number or did you get his?"
"Well,I was about to leave without giving it to him because I thought he didn't like me but then he asked me for my number."Dawn told her sounding like a little school girl.
"Did you write it on a piece of paper or his hand?Or another body part?"
"His hand.He was so hot.I hope he oh that's my other line hang on,"Dawn clicked over,"Hello?"
"Hi is um,Dawn there?"
"Yeah!I mean this is her.Who's this?"She already knew who it was but she wanted to act like she had guys calling her all the time.
"Connor.Um I was wondering...are you free tonight?But If you aren't that's cool I understand."His voice sounded hopeful.
"Um hold on a second,"Dawn clicked back over to the other line,"Buffy.It's him.It's Connor.He asked if I was free tonight.I am but I don't know if I should tell him that and since you're like the dating expert should I go with him or act like I'm busy?"
"Um...don't go.Act like you have plans already and get some actual studying done while you're in college."
"Okay,he's still waiting so I'll call you back some time tomorrow or tonight.Love you,bye."
"Love you too sweetie,bye."
Dawn clicked back over,"Sorry Connor.Someone was at my door and I'm sorry again because I can't go out tonight.I'm hanging out with some friends so we'll have to do another rain check."
"Oh,"He sounded disappointed,"Alright.Well gotta go then,bye Dawn."
"Bye Connor."She hung up and started jumping on her bed because she knew he liked her and hopefully wasn't a vampire.She couldn't wait until they had a date planned.
