Angel came out of the office with a mug of heated up blood for her.
“Here.”
“Thanks. Look, I’m sorry I freaked out. I’m ok now. I just, kinda realised that I. I kinda felt like I didn’t exist at all.”
“Don’t worry about it. We understand. Anyone who was in your shoes would.” Angel told her soothingly, holding her in his large embrace.
She finally started to calm down. “God, I can’t believe this is happening. Ok, I’m calm. No really, I am.” She told them, even though they could clearly see that she was still shaken, as she jumped out of Angel’s embrace and started restlessly pacing.
“I’ve gotta find out who did this! Damn it! All I can remember is the name Gavin P….. something.”
”Gavin? The only Gavin whose last name began with a P was…..Gavin Park! The same guy that….”
”Beat Lilah up!” Angel said, finishing Lindsey’s sentence.
“Then that’s who it is!” Elle said, finally sitting down again. This time, on the floor where she had been pacing just seconds before. “So when do we kill him?”
“We don’t! What do you think that would accomplish? Nothing! Gavin would be dead and we would have no lead!” Angel told her.
Elle lay down and breathed. Which sort of surprised Lindsey, because vampires didn’t need to breathe.
She took a few deep breaths and sat back up. “Ok. I’m thinking rational now. So, we find out what Gavin did to me, and where my memory is, and then we torture Gavin, get my memory back, torture Gavin some more, set up the Christmas decorations, torture Gavin some more, then buy presents and wrap them ready for Christmas day.”
“Whoa! Do we really have to do the Christmas thing?” Angel asked.
