"Are you sure this is the place?" Dawn asked.
"Elle sighed. "For the last time Dawn, yes I'm sure that this is the right
place. I did come here not a week ago you know."
"So, are we just gonna sit in the car or are we gonna go in and say Hi?"
Willow asked, her voice held a slight nervous air to it.
Elle sighed. "Yeah. Let's go and greet the fang gang."
"I thought that was what we called a bunch of vampires? " Dawn whispered.
Angelus and Elle led the way into the Hyperion Hotel. They were greeted by
Cordilia's greeting
"Welcome to Angel Investigations how can we help.....you? Xander? Buffy? Oh
my god. What are you guys doing here?!" she laughed as she hugged each of
the Scooby's.
Except Spike who had the sense to stay out of sight for the moment.
But, in typical Spike fashion, he made himself know by asking, "So, who do
you eat for fun around here?"
Cordila shrieked and whipped out a cross from her front pocket.
Buffy grabbed her arm "Cordy, It's ok, he can't hurt anyone."
"What do you mean?"
"Spikey took a trip to the vet, and now he doesn't chase the other puppies
anymore." Willow said, telling it exactly as Spike had told them.
Cordy stared at her blankly.
Elle came to the rescue. "He can't bite with out his brain getting fried
extra crispy." She said from where she and Angelus were standing.
Cordy frowned and was about to speak when Wesley, Gunn and Fred came running
out.
"Cordy are you ok?"
"We heard your scream?"
"Is everything ok?"
"Angel?" Cordy said, ignoring her fellow colleges.
"Ooohhh boy, if she screamed at Spike's presence then we're gonna be deaf
when she hears who I really am" Angelus whispered to Elle.
"Ok. I'm gonna ask you guys to sit down. Now. Please. In case of heart
failure I am not to be held responsible." She warned them, then took a deep
breath even though she didn't need to breathe. "This isn't Angel, it's
Angelus."
The minute she said that, Angel walked in the front door.
The second that he saw her, he froze. Then his face clouded over.
"I told you to get out. And I meant it." He growled, surprising everyone
with his tone.
"And I told you that I had nothing to do with that massacre. I wasn't even
there when it happened!"
"Why the hell don't I believe that! You were standing there covered in
blood! And you have the nerve to tell me you had nothing to do with it!"
"Fuck you Angel! You have no idea what I've been through in the past 5
years! Hell, you have no idea what I've been through in the past 100 years!
So don't you dare tell me that you know what I'm like!"
Angel growled threateningly and went to grab Elle.
But he was stopped by a hand on his arm.
"You do best to keep your hands off a' her mate." Angelus said coolly.
Angel stepped back in shock.
He looked at Elle. "What the fuck is going on here?" he asked.
"That's what I'd like to know." came a new voice.
Everyone turned around to see Lindsey standing at the door, with two guys
that looked just like him!
For a while nobody could say anything. Then Wesley broke the silence.
"Umm, why don't we all go and sit down?" he suggested.
Everyone mumbled their approval and they all managed to find somewhere to
sit.
Then Wesley got down to business. "Ok. So we have two Angel's and uh, three
Lindsey's..."
"No. We have one Angel and one Angelus. And we have two Lindsey's but, who
is the other guy?" Elle said.
"Oh, right sorry. Everyone, this is Casey, my twin."
"Wow, so there are two evil lawyers then." Cordy said, her voice holding a
slight sarcastic tone but also a slight awe.
Casey frowned. "Evil lawyers? Jesus Lindsey, you really did screw up big
time huh." He joked.
"Hey, some good came of it, I was able to kill that demon that attacked us
on the way here. Even though I have a lump the size of Texas on the back of
my head." Lindsey said as he rubbed his head.
Angel laughed at that. "Serves you right Lindsey."
"Hey Angel, did you get those bills for parking tickets by any chance?"
Lindsey smirked. "I thought it was the least I could do, especially after
you put that sign on the back of my truck."
"YOU were the one that did that!"
Lindsey leaned back in his chair, a satisfied smile on his handsome face.
"Paybacks a bitch Angy"
Elle, who like everyone else, had been watching the bickering back and
forth, burst out laughing.
"What's so funny Miss Murder girl." Cordy scoffed.
"God, you really haven't changed. You're still acting like a little boy.
Putting signs such as 'Cops Suck' on the back of people's cars, my god, and
you still call me immature."
Suddenly Cordelia screamed and pointed her crossbow at Angelus. "You're not
'Angel' your Angelus!" she hissed at him.
Angelus looked at her blankly. "Yeah, and you only just figured that out
just now?"
"Well... Yeah, well, you just look like him Mr evil psycho vampire so I just
assumed that you were, you know, good."
Then she spun around, her crossbow facing Lindsey number 2. "Are you evil as
well?" she asked.
Lindsey 2, who hadn't said a word since he arrived, just looked at Cordillia
before he stood up and walked outside into the courtyard.
Elle frowned. "I'll go see what's wrong." She said and left before anyone
could say anything against it.
She found him sitting on the wall beside the fountain, not really staring at
anything. She sat beside him. "You know, we already have one of the strong
silent types around here." She said turning to look at him.
He turned to her and she was shocked to see that he was crying.
"Hey, hey it's ok, what's wrong huh." She asked, putting a friendly arm over
his shoulders.
"He doesn't even acknowledge the fact that we're actually triplets. It just
kinda, hurts."
"So, whats your name?"
"Christian."
"Well Christian, I'm Elle."
"Come on Christian, let's go back in huh?"
They went back inside together. But the second that Christian sat down, Elle
walked up to Lindsey and tipped him off his chair.
"We need to talk Mr. McDonald. Now."
Lindsey got up off the floor and followed her outside quietly.
"You're lucky." Elle said, as they sat down, not quite in the sunlight.
"What do you mean?"
"You have 'two' brothers that are alive and well."
Lindsey froze. "He told you."
"Yes. So, what's the story?"
"He never told anyone before. None of us have. He preferred to be alone, he
was never with us, so people thought he was either me or Casey when he was
out. And he never bothered to correct them. Then social services took him
away. After a while we just got used to him not really being there, and
no-one really knew that he existed. It's just kinda a habit."
"Well, it's time to break that habit. It's really upsetting to be pushed out
of things, and not included as part of the family. I know. I had it happen
to me." She stood up and started inside. "He's still your brother. And
you're still his family." She said before she walked inside and sat down.
Lindsey soon followed her in.
No-one spoke for a while. Until Cordelia broke the silence.
"So. Is he another 'evil lawyer' from the past?"
"No. was all Elle said, as she looked pointedly at Lindsey.
Lindsey sighed. "He's not evil. And he's not a lawyer. He's a musician. And
a pretty good one at that." And he's...our brother."
Fred's jaw dropped. "So your triplets then. Identical triplets."
"Yeah. That about sums it up." Lindsey said.
Elle looked at both Angel and Angelus. Both were staring at the three boys.
Angelus was always fascinated by twins, but she had never seen him around
triplets before. And it seemed that Angel was still fascinated by them, but
even more so than Angelus, but mostly by Lindsey.
She took a big whiff of the air and smirked when her nose told her why.
Angel had it bad for Lindsey. And Lindsey had it bad for Angel.
"What you smirking at luv?" Spike asked when he saw the evil grin on her
face.
Elle tapped her nose then looked at Lindsey, then Angel, then tapped her
nose again.
Spike took the hint and sniffed the air. Then he too smirked. He looked at
Elle and raised an eyebrow.
She nodded back and they put their evil scheme in motion.
"Something smells good huh Spike."
"Yep. Wouldn't mind having it for myself."
"I call first dibs."
"Come on luv, you gotta lean to share."
"But it just smells so good, and I haven't smelt it that strong in decades.
You on the other hand, smell it every day and night."
"Still gotta learn to share pet."
"Fine. But I still call first dibs."
Meanwhile, everyone had turned to look at them, except Lindsey and Angel who
had disappeared into Angel's office.
The minute the door closed Spike and Elle burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?" Dawn asked.
"Ditto." Willow said.
Everyone murmured their agreement.
"Well" Elle began when she and Spike had stopped laughing. "Y'all know how
we vampires have a 'very' good sniffer."
Everyone nodded.
"We can smell blood and other, various bodily fluids and arousal." She
finished and looked around for the reaction she knew she would get.
"Are you saying that...?" Gunn began.
"Yes. Peaches and the cowboy have it bad for each other." Spike said
matter-of-factly.
