Chapter 6
LA 2004- Spike's Apartment
Spike caught Buffy before she hit the floor. "Daphne? You awake?" Spike yelled into the apartment. A couple of seconds later Daphne appeared at his side. "Can you help me move her to the bed?" Spike asked as he looked up at Daphne.
"Sure." Daphne said as she helped pick up Buffy.
When they got her on to the bed Daphne stood at the end.
"Who is she?"
Spike smiled then pushed Buffy's hair out of her face. "My Slayer."
Daphne gasped when Spike uncovered Buffy's face. "Mom." Daphne whispered.
"What?" Spike asked as he stood up.
"She looks like my mom." Daphne said as she walked over to the couch. Spike looked at Buffy then went over to Daphne.
"Buffy looks like Elizabeth?"
"Yes...Elizabeth must be her past life."
"Daphne what happened to your mum after William died?"
"My brother was killed, I was being hunted and I was also engaged."
"How did Nick die?"
"They said it was muggers, but it was vampires. I didnt find that out till a year and 1/2 after he died."
"Who was hunting you?"
"Angelus."
"Oh. Of course you were the slayer only fitting he would. Who were you engaged to?"
Daphne smiled. "Adam."
London 1905
"Mum we're back." Daphne said as Adam and her walked in.
"Oh dear. When did you two get here?" Elizabeth said as she hugged the two.
"An hour ago."
Elizabeth smiled. "Well I was cooking dinner. Would you mind giving me a hand?"
"Sure mom."
"I'll just take the bags upstairs." Adam said as he kissed Daphne then headed upstairs.
"So how's married life?" Elizabeth asked as she led her daughter to th kitchen.
"Wonderful Mom."
"Then what brings you two here?"
Daphne smiled then took her mother's hand. "Mum I have something to tell you. I'm pregnant."
Elizabeth looked at her daughter and pulled her hand away.
"Mum?"
"Daphne I'm happy for you I really am, but have you thought about how your slaying will affect the baby?"
Daphne's smile disappeared as she staired at her mother.
" Of course mother. That's why we're here. I'm quitting."
"You cant!"
"Why the bloody hell not?"
Elizabeth turned around and looked at the ground.
"Because your father wouldnt want you to."
Daphne looked at her mom.
"Then he souldnt have done this to me." She said as she left the room.
6 Months later.
"Adam?" Daphne said as she walked out of their house.
"Looking for someone?" A voice behind Daphne said.
Daphne turned around. "Who are you?"
The man stepped out of the shadows. "I think you know who I am."
"Angelus."
"Correct."
"What do you want?"
"Well isnt it obvious?"
"Leave me alone."
"You ever wonder what really happened to your brother?"
Daphne gasped. "You didnt."
"No I didnt my minions did."
"Why?"
"To get your attention. But that didnt work. So I waited and then I got bored so I decided to get your attention once more."
"What did you do?"
"And I ask again. Looking for someone?" He said as he dropped Adam to the ground.
"No!" Daphne said as she ran to Adam. "You evil souless..." But when she looked up Angelus was gone.
LA 2004- Spike's Apartment
"Oh wow." Spike said after Daphne finished her tale.
"He was an innocent bystandard in all of this. My Adam, my husband. I never told him the truth. If I had maybe he wouldnt have died that way."
Spike looked at her. "Were you still pregnant?"
"Yes."
"Did you go to your mum?"
"No...We never spoke again until just before her death."
"Oh."
"Uh." Buffy whimpered as she started to come to. Spike walked over to her and sat on the bed.
"Buffy love are you ok?"
Buffy opened her eyes. "Spike?"
"Yes love it's me."
"But you're dead."
"Was dead. It's a long story. Are you okay?"
"Not sure. So you found her?"
"Yeah only I found something more than I bargined for."
"What?"
"A daughter." Daphne said as she walked up behind Spike.
"What?"
"It's another long story." Spike said.
"I'll tell her." Daphne said as she told Buffy the basics. After she was done Buffy gotup and walked out to the balcony. Spike nodded at Daphne then followed Buffy.
"You alright love?"
Buffy turned around. "We're basically her parents Spike."
"I know love."
"And you're back and you didnt believe me." Spike pulled Buffy to him.
"No love I think the only reason you said it was to make my death complete. But I knew it wasnt the truth. Not yet atleast."
Buffy smiled. He was right, at the time it wasn't true. But now...now things were different.
"How long?"
"What?"
"How long have you been back?"
"3 months."
Buffy looked up. "Why didnt you tell me?"
Spike told Buffy everything about his time as a ghost.
"So now you're a vampire again?"
"Um well actually. I'm alive now Buffy. Can't you tell?"
Buffy placed her head on Spike's chest. "Oh my god. You're alive, but how?"
"Not Sure. Listen can we go back in?"
"Why?"
"Because I really wanna find out why Daphne is here."
Buffy nodded and they headed back in.
"You wanna know what happens next right?" Daphne said when they came in. They both nodded. "Then sit down."
London 1906
Daphne cried all the way there. In her arms was her son, William Northshore. Daphne had decided when he was born that she would keep him, but after running from Angelus for so long and having a six month old had proved to be difficult and dangerous. So here she was standing at the door of Adam's sister, Cecily's house. Daphne laid her son in the basket on the steps and gave him one last kiss. Then she put the note in the basket and knocked on the door. Then she ran and she never looked back.
LA 2004- Spike's Apartment
"You ran?" Buffy said as she staired at Daphne.
"Yes. I wasnt going to risk his life. I wanted him to live. Plus at the time my body was changing."
"How so?" Spike asked.
"I was attracted to vampires. And not the way that Buffy is."
"Then how?" Buffy asked.
"Like there was some monster inside of me that wanted them not just for sex, but also for mating."
"Did you...you know mate?"
Daphne looked at Spike and nodded.
Authors Note: Oh god dont kill me. I promise I'll have an update as soon as possible. But come on isnt the story getting interesting. Ok well here is a fore warning. My next chapter is going to be rated NC-17 because it's going to talk about the mating. And just to let you know...it's very violent. And it's my first attempt at it so dont make fun of me. Oh and reviews are always nice. :smiles REALLY big:
