Prologue:
Willow looked at Angel. "So, Kennedy's dead," she said. She was sure that she hadn't heard him right.
"I'm sorry."
"No--no, it's okay." She fought to keep from crying. She hadn't invited him in yet--she'd like to do a thousand terrible things to him. The son-of-a-bitch had killed Kennedy. Angelus, whoever. Same dif. It was still Angel's body.
"Will, listen. There's something going on. I saw Wes's body in the water in the sewers--"
"Yeah, there is. And--and it's bad, Angel, whatever it is. But I need to be alone now, okay?" She was sure he was mourning again. Just like he'd mourned Miss Calendar. Just like he'd mourned what he did to Buffy, and the rest of them. Just like he'd mourned his family.
But the point was, he'd still done it.
Angel watched the redhead in front of him. He was part worried. He'd heard, from Buffy, that Willow was very strong in the magicks.
And that when Tara had died, she'd flayed the killer alive and gone on a magical rampage in revenge. And then out of rage, in the end. He really didn't want to be flayed alive--or, in his case, undead. He also didn't want to find out just how strong Willow really was in the magicks.
"Just--go, Angel. Someone can..... Please go." She turned around, closing the door in his face.
A/N: I know that this is short. But it's news that had to be broken, and the chapters will get longer.
