Willow

Willow finally awoke on a big circle bed. She was wearing loose cream colored pants and a blood red tank top. The bed was surrounded by canopy the same color as her shirt, and the sheets were cream colored. There were pillows piled at the top of the bed, large ones red, small ones white.

She reached up to her head and her hair was topped up with just a few tendrils flowing down around her face. She realized her hair was dark red, the color it had been when she was seventeen.

“What’s going on?” she asked to the air.

She looked down at her hands and on her left hand was a ring perched on her ring finger. It was gold with a blood red stone. On her right hand was another ring. It was a black band on her thumb. She sighed heavily, wondering what universe she had been thrown into.

She pulled the canopy away and got out of the bed. The walls of the room were cream colored and the carpet was red. There was a red wardrobe leaning against a wall, and a bunch of different chairs.

Against a back wall there were curtains that just brushed the ground. Willow walked over and pushed them aside and looked straight at a pair of double doors.

She opened one caustiously and stepped out. She was greeted with a cool breeze and the sound of the ocean. It was a balcony made of cream colored stone. She closed her eyes and let the breeze push against her.

“What’s going on?” she whispered. She felt arms slip around her waist and soft breath on her neck.

“Hey,” said a quiet male voice. Oz. Willow opened her eyes and turned around. He stood smiling.

“Do you know what’s happening?” she asked him. He nodded, yes. “Tell me, please.”

“You did a spell,” he answered.

“Oz, I know, I was mad, I wasn’t careful!” she wailed. “Where am I?”

“You’re a goddess.” He answered caressing her face. She looked down, tears filling her eyes.

“Oz, please! Tell me what’s going on!” she cried.

“Your spell.” Oz told her.

“What did I do? Where’s Buffy?” Willow asked.

“Soon.”

“What?” she asked confused.

“Soon.”

“Oz! Please help me! I’m so confused.” She wailed falling to her knees. She clung to his legs, crying. He knelt next to her and hugged her.

“I can’t say anymore.” He told her, also crying.

“Please! Just tell me where Buffy is.” She wailed. Oz held her until he started to drift away.

He was disappearing into the wind and Willow tried to hold on to him.

“DON’T LEAVE! YOU CAN’T!” she yelled. His voice came back to her on the wind.

“I will return. Look into the ring.”

Willow stayed on the ground, not moving. She finally stood up and looked into the black band.

Nothing.

She looked into the other ring, into the blood red stone. And she saw Buffy, sitting with Giles, who was eating cereal. Buffy looked mad, and went storming out of the room.

Then she saw Joyce, painting a picture, looking lively and a ten year old Buffy was standing next to her, watching.

Then she saw a woman in a hospital bed. It took her a couple minutes before she figured out that it was Joyce. The woman was pale, had only a few wisps of hair, and her whole body was sunken in. She was dying.

Then she saw Buffy walking in the park, and Angel seeing her.

She ripped her eyes away from the scene as pain set in. All the pain that Buffy was feeling, she felt as well.

“What have I done?” she asked quietly. “When will this end?”

Her last question echoed through her mind as she realized that she could reverse the spell.

She ran back into the room and tore it apart looking for ingredients. She couldn’t find any so she started looking through the bookshelves.

“Silly girl,” a familiar male’s voice cut through the room. She spun around and was looking into the eyes of Spike.

“Wha-what?” she asked, frightened. She backed up, until she was against the bookshelf.

“You can’t reverse the spell.” He told her.

“What?” she asked, confused.

“You probably should have finished reading before you did the spell.” He told her.

“What do you mean?” she asked nervously.

“I mean, this lasts until the story is played out.” Spike informed her.

“How long will that be?” she asked.

“We’ll just have to find out, now won’t we?” he asked sarcastically.

“Why is there all this…pain?” she asked.

“Since you did the spell, you get to feel all the character’s pain. You just have to keep watching.” Spike answered.

“Well, its kinda hard to see through this little ring.” She said quietly.

“So look through the mirror.” He told her, gesturing to a mirror lined in gold.

“Oh, and Spike?” she asked.

“Yes?” he asked, annoyed.

“I’m hungry,” she told him. He rolled his eyes and sighed heavily.

“Some one will feed you eventually.” He told her. And he disappeared into a wisp of smoke.

Willow walked over to the mirror to see what would happen next.
