A/N: Much of the dialogue is actually taken from "Becoming, Part One." Not all of it--just most of it.
"Well, now." Spike, in his wheelchair, didn't turn around to watch Drusilla, Darla, and Angelus approach. "It's a big rock. I can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big."
"William, you still know nothing."
"She's right, my boy," Angelus agreed with his sire, started to walk toward the statue.
"You never did learn your history. Acathla the demon came forth to swallow the world. He was killed by a virtuous knight who pierced the demon's heart before he could draw a breath to perform the act."
Reaching the statue, he reached out and touched it reverently before turning around.
"Acathla turned to stone, as demons sometimes do, and was buried where neither man nor demon would want to look." He paused. "Unless they're putting up low-rent housing."
Darla chuckled appreciatively. The two minions by the statue pried open the covering, knocking down the first wall around Acathla. The statue was now clearly visible.
Drusilla stared in delight, putting her hands to her head. She closed her eyes and spun in a tight little circle. "Oh, he just fills my head!"
Spike quickly put a stop to that. "Let me guess," he said to Angelus, focussing on the sword still sticking out of Acathla's stone chest.
"Someone pulls out the sword--"
"Someone worthy," interrupted Angelus.
"And who else would be worthy but you?" asked Darla, putting a hand on Angelus's shoulder.
"The demon wakes up, and wackiness ensues," finished Spike, ignoring Angelus and Darla. He'd had plenty of practice at that over the years.
It had been much nicer after Angelus had gotten the soul shoved into him. Running into him on that ship back during the war had been a bit of a problem... But apart from that, he really hadn't missed the blighter. Especially not the way that he'd always play with Dru.
"He will swallow the world," she said now, putting her hands down to stare at the statue again. Spike frowned a bit at that. Swallow the world? That couldn't be good. And didn't anyone remember that they were a part of this world-being-swallowed?....
"And every creature living on this planet will go to hell," finished Angelus. "So now, we're about to make history--" he turned around to look at them all. "End."
