Tales of Drusilla
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Joss does. I own the fanfic though!
Set: Spike and Dru had just come to Sunnydale.
This is one short story. This whole book has different short stories.
As Drusilla sneaked a peek out of the window, she saw that the sun was going down. It was a crimsony orange blob in the horizon. Drusilla lay down on her bed and turned her head to the side. She saw Spike heading towards her. He had bleached blonde spiky hair and deep brown eyes. He wore his favourite leather coat, a trophy from a slayer he killed in the New York subway.
“Dru, my pet,” Spike said to her.
“Spike, my darling,” she replied as she slowly sat up and got off the bed.
“Are you ok love?” Spike asked with concern.
“I’m hungry,” she whispered to him, rubbing her stomach. “My tummy’s growling, saying: feed me.”
Spike headed over to the window, guiding Drusilla along by them holding hands.
“The sun is almost set, and when it does, I can get you some food,” Spike told her.
“No, not today William,” Drusilla said, her mood turning from happily to frustrated.
“Dru, I’m Spike,” he said.
“But you were William and you always shall be. The moon is coming and he tells me that you are William today.”
“The moon told you I’m William today? Right. Why do you believe the moon?” he asked her.
“The moon never lies. The sun goes and the moon steals it’s place. When the moon steals his place, he is faithful to us. The moon helps us live and without the moon, everyone would be different.
“Tonight,” Drusilla informed Spike. “The moon floods me with power. I want to go out.”
The sun had now set and the crescent moon was vividly bright in the sky.
“William, my love,” Drusilla whispered. “We should go out, while the moon is still...effulgent.”
