A/N: Warning. The next few chapters, including this one, may have lines directly from "Becoming Part One" and "Becoming Part Two". (After all, the museum people still found Acathla, etc, etc.) So, lines from both episodes belong to Joss Whedon in specific, and not me. I'm just clearing that up. (Also, Spike's line in Chapter Eleven came from "Becoming Part One" where he calls Angelus a ninny. The line was funny, what can I say? So. Just a little warning, (technically a long warning) both spoiler and non-original.
Angelus looked at the paper on the floor. It was a few days after the Slayer had come to rescue his boy. Darla was madder than he'd ever seen her, but Drusilla barely seemed to care. As he bent down to pick up the paper, he accidentally flipped to the back page.
"Mysterious Obelisk Unearthed." He started to read it, smiling.
"Find any interesting articles?" Spike wheeled up behind him. "Or are you just refreshing your vocabulary? Not that that would be too difficult..."
"Shut up," Angelus absentmindedly shot at the younger vampire. Drusilla came up behind both of them.
Spying the back page article, she cried out, "Ooh! That's him! He's the one who's been crying out to me at night, promising all kinds of nightmares if I'll just let him out..."
"We wouldn't want to miss out on those, now, would we? Nightmares and all..."
"Will it kill the Slayer? That's all that really mattters right now."
"Darla, my dear... There are two Slayers. But if this is what I think it is.... No Slayer will ever come between us again." Angelus smiled, dropping the newspaper to the ground.
"It's time for a little field trip, boys and girls."
