Buffy and Spike walked down an ally way looking for a local demon haunt in LA.
“Buffy, if Angel is Angelus we gona lock him up and wait for Willow to perform the re-souling spell.” Spike asked.
“Yup, that’s the overall plan baby.” She answered.
When they reached a part of town that looked like it harbored demons, Buffy and Spike walked in a door that they heard screaming and yelling. What they had entered was a demon bar. They were demons of all sorts, and a bunch of vamps.
“Which one do you suppose we should ask about Angel first.” Buffy asked Spike.
“I don’t know pet, what about that demon in the corner.” He answered.
“Ok, let’s stay together.” She said.
They walked over to a demon in the corner. He had red-brown skin with black hair and yellow eyes. He was decently big. But since he was alone, Buffy and Spike thought this was their best bet to not cause a riot in a demon bar.
“Hey, pal I have a question to ask you, and if you give me information that is useful to me you will get a reward, you interested?” Buffy asked Spike.
“Why should I help you” This demon said in a scratchy voice.
Buffy then picked the demon up and threw him against the wall. Holding him up by his neck she said.
“You going to help me now?” she asked with a smirk.
“Ok, ok…what is your question.” The demon asked in fear of being killed.
“I was wondering, do you know of a vampire with a soul called Angel, and where he might be now?” She asked.
“Oh Angel, yah I know him, he just recently took over the law firm, Wolfram and Heart. He is the president. He and his gang are running it now. .” The demon said.
“Wait, Wolfram and Heart, do you think that Angel is not as good as he use to be, that law firm is know for their association with demons?” Spike asked Buffy.
“I don’t know, lets get out of here.” She said.
She threw the demon against the wall and exited the bar, Spike following her.
Lindsey’s Apartment
As Lindsey bound and gagged Fred he got a sharp knife out of a draw.
“Now Fred, I don’t want to kill you if I don’t have to, because I don’t want the rest of your gang on my tail for the rest of my life, but I need to spill as much blood as I need to, for the spell to go into affect. We will know when it worked, because Angel’s soul will float into this room and be sucked into this bottle.” He said.
“I just hope Kreand turned Spike, but I need to convert Angel to Angelus now, because the prophecy says this day. So who knows maybe Angelus will get to kill a few people.” He said.
“You should feel special Fred. Your blood is going to turn your friend evil.” He then began to laugh in a very evil tone causing tears to run down Fred’s cheeks.
Ally
Spike and Buffy walked out of the bar and Buffy was walking pretty fast.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Spike asked.
“It’s just, I know Angelus is evil, but Angel taking over Wolfram and Heart. I can’t believe it I have to see for myself.” She said.
“We going there pet?” Spike asked.
“Yah, I want to get there tonight and confront him, you with me?” she asked.
“Always pet, yours forever.” He said.
Spike and Buffy walked out of the bad part of LA They were in and to the bus stop. They got a cab and told the cab driver where they needed to go. Spike and Buffy got in the back and as soon as the door was shut Spike met Buffy’s lips with a passionate kiss. He then withdrew his mouth and spoke.
“Just wanted to remind you how much I love you sweet, I would do anything for you.” He said.
“I know baby. Do you think I will ever have a normal life? That our baby can live and grow and not have to worry about things I have to now?” she asked him.
“I don’t know pet, but I know that I will always keep our child safe, from anything that wants to harm, and I will protect you with my life.” He said.
Buffy then met his lips in a passionate kiss.
“That got me all horny baby, hearing you talk to me like that, you are getting a big reward later…count on it.” She said.
“Ooh nice.” He said.
The cab then pulled up in front of the Wolfram and Heart building and Spike and Buffy got out. Spike held her hand as they walked up the front. When they entered the doors two men said.
“Excuse me do you guys have a pass to get in here?” he asked.
“No, I don’t but Angel and I go way back.” Spike said. “Like to the Boxer Rebellion.” He said with a grin.
“Take me to Angel…now.” Buffy said,
“No, you two must leave the premises immediately.” He said.
“I must warn you, when this little bint gets angry, I would watch out.” Spike said to the guard very casually.
“Ms. You and your friend must leave.” He said.
Buffy then punched him in the face took Spike by the hand and walked into the elevator. A whole bunch of other security guards went after then but Buffy fought then off. She decided that Angel’s office must be on the last floor, being head of it and everything.
They elevator door opened and Buffy saw Angel sitting in his office with was what looked like a client.
She barged in the door Spike following her Angel looking at her like she had three heads.
“Buffy, what the hell are you doing here…and Spike?” he asked.
Spike then purposely went and put his arm around Buffy’s waist getting a growl from Angel and a peck on the cheek from Buffy.
“Angel, you better have some explaining to do regarding why someone tried to turn Spike because of a prophecy about Angelus.” Buffy said.
“Turning Spike, isn’t he a vamp?” Angel asked bewildered.
“No he is human now.” Buffy said plainly.
“Ok, and why is his arms around you, you two are not together are you, because that would be—“Angel then cut him self off when he noticed a ring on Buffy’s finger, an engagement ring. He thought he was going to blow up.
Buffy, was angry before and was going to hold her temper but it was no business of Angel’s to comment on her romantic relationships.
“Spike is my fiancé and the father of my baby, that is not important now, I want to know why you are here at Wolfram and why people are attacked my lover because of Angelus.” She said angrily.
“She called him her lover gross.” Angel thought.
“Oh ya peaches, who’s got the girl now.” Spike thought.
“Buffy, I don’t know anything of this; this is a pretty lame excuse to come to see me to flaunt your new boy toy.” Angel said angry that Buffy was with Spike..
Buffy went over and punched him in the face,
“Spike is more than that, I love him with all my heart, and he is who fate wanted me with, so why don’t you shut the hell up and explain to me why number one you are working for an evil law firm and number two why vampires are attacking Spike and almost killing me in your name.” she said,
“Buffy, I really don’t feel like explaining the first one and the second one I don’t know what the hell you are talking about, unless you admit to me that you made this all up just to come and see me, leave.” He said.
“Goodbye Angel.” Buffy said. Taking Spike’s hand in her own and walking out with him.
“Oh, and just so you know, I will figure this whole thing out and when I do, you are going to go down. You are not the same man I knew so I don’t feel guilty, but if anyone else tries to kill Spike because of you, you are going to be hearing from me.” She said.
She then walked out and got in the elevator with Spike.
“Pet, you ok?” he asked.
“Yes, I , I just can’t believe he is working here, this place is evil, I don’t think we can trust Angel anymore, we have to figure out this whole prophecy thing for ourselves, you with me.” She asked him
“Of course I am.” He asked.
“When should we start?” he asked.
“Tomorrow…she said…kind of tired tonight, need some relaxation…and I remember promising you a reward she said with a grin. We can go get Willow and check in at a hotel. They tomorrow we can start fresh to find out everything we can about the vamp that attacked you, why and that Lindsey guy you mentioned. Ok?” she asked.
“Yes pet, did I mention how much I love you.” He asked.
“Yes, but again is ok.” She said.
He then met her lips in a passionate kiss and they wrapped their arms around each other to go and get Willow…they had one night of relaxation before the real games began tomorrow.
