Willow, Angel, and Connor all arrived in Giles's backyard.
Connor looked around, disoriented. "Where are we?"
"We're in Britain... We're at Giles's house." Angel looked carefully at his son, trying to see how he felt. The last thing that he wanted was for Connor to go back to a homicidal rage, due to his family...
Willow looked between them, then decided to leave them alone. Angel and Connor needed to catch up, for whatever reason. She'd go back into the house.
She climbed the steps to the porch, barely looking at the driveway. She was so tired.... Goddess, she just wanted to sleep. But if Riley came back, she wouldn't be able to wake up again fast enough.
She opened the door and walked in. The house was dark, and quieter than it had been. She frowned a little. Her danger senses might not be as highly tuned as those of a slayer, but they were still pretty good.
She started to call out Buffy's name, but thought better of it. She flipped on a light switch--the room was empty. Her frown got larger as she walked through the living room.
Then she relaxed. There were voices coming from the kitchen. She started to walk through, when something belatedly kicked in. One of those voices was Riley Finn.
Her eyes narrowed, and she kept going forward. It was Riley, all right... Riley and someone else... Faith?
"Look, I can't do much, okay?" Willow leaned against the wall and listened. "I don't know where they went, and even if I did, I wouldn't tell you."
"Look, Faith. I don't like you."
"Really? And here I thought that I was tied to a chair because you wanted kinks."
Willow tried not to laugh. It was pure Faith--but if Riley got irritated by her, there was nothing to prevent him from doing something about it.
"All I want to know is where Dawn is."
"She's not here. They all left. I was getting ready to go somewhere else when you came."
"I don't believe you." Riley stopped for a moment, then yelled, "I don't believe you!"
Willow winced. Whatever she'd seen the other day, added with this.... Something was seriously wrong with Riley. And as much as she wanted to help Faith, first she had to hide Angel and Connor. Then she'd be back for Faith... And then she'd have a long talk with Riley Finn.
