"So, Buffy, you're still coming to the library today... Right?" "Yeah, I guess so. We may as well study for the exams. Although they may not matter after graduation." "Aw, Buffy, don't worry about it. We'll get through it." "I don't know, Will... I'm just really nervous."

"That's perfectly normal. Exams make people nervous." The two of them walked into the library. "Ladies, what's going on tonight?" "Studying. Much studying." "Ah, studying. What those hoping to go to college must do." "Yup."

"Willow. When are your examinations?" Giles poked his head out of the office to stare at the three of them. "Um, they actually start tomorrow. But most of them are next week." "Oh. Right, then."

"So. What's happening in this part of Scooby Central? Anything exciting?" Faith came out from behind the stacks.

"Let's see... You're over there. So, no, only on the right side. And may I say, strange look?" Xander backed up. Buffy moved forward to the front of the group. "What's with the clothes? Civilian look what's in now among the evil?" "Relax, B. Just came to look through the books."

"There's an inventory going on now," Willow blurted out. "Yeah, well, I don't seem to recall you letting anything get in the way of you reading." Faith sneered at Willow.

"Library's closed, Faith." "That's okay, B. Didn't see anything worth reading." She grinned and walked back toward the windows. "By the way... Shouldn't leave your windows open. You never know what kind of creepy crawly's going to come around." She jumped out the window.

"Faith's always so relaxing," Xander said sarcastically. "That's not my word for her." Xander shrugged. "I'm sure it was somewhere along those lines..."

"I've got to go somewhere," said Giles, grabbing his coat. "Yeah. And I'm for Bronzing." "Xander... Exams?" "Ah, Will. Studying's for smart people." Xander left the library behind Giles.

Buffy stared wistfully at the swinging doors for a moment. "Buffy?" "Huh? Oh. Yeah. Books." Reluctantly, she picked up one of the textbooks that Willow had laid on the counter and walked to a chair.

They sat at different tables, staring at their respective books, for nearly an hour before Angel walked in. "Buffy." Oz burst in behind him before he could get anything else out. "Oz?" Willow stood up, looking at him. He stood there for a moment, panting. "Trouble at the Bronze." Angel looked at all three of them for a moment.

Devon pushed in through the doors, running into Oz. "You guys run fast." "Devon." Oz turned around. "Yeah." He shut his eyes, panting even harder than Oz. "Is it normal to see dancing, purple lawn gnomes when you close your eyes?" "Maybe you should sit down," advised Willow.

He nodded, stumbling to a chair. "Will, you stay here with him. I'm going to the Bronze." "Exams really never go well for us," said Willow mournfully. Oz crossed over to Willow. "I'll help," he said. "Help with the exams?" "Sure. I may as well pick up what I didn't get last year."

Buffy and Angel left, going to the Bronze.

She burst in to see a group of vamps cornering Xander and a girl with short blond hair. "Please d-d-don't," stuttered the girl.

"But it's such fun," said the vampire. "Hey. Hey, hey, hands!" Xander turned around to glare at one of the female vampires. Buffy jumped over the pool table. "This a private party, or can anyone join in?" "Slayer," growled one of the vamps. "I'm glad to see I'm popular enough with you." She pulled a stake out, ramming it into one vamp, turning, shoving it into another.

The blond girl stopped long enough to say, "Th-thank you," to Buffy, then ran away. Angel took a pool stick, pushed it into two vamps at once. He managed to spear a couple of them before they turned to ash.

"Vamp shish kebab," Buffy said. "Can't see that becoming popular. Why were they after you?" "I was a friend of the Slayer. You're a dangerous person to know, Buffy." "I've heard that. How about her?" "They said she had power of some kind. She tried to shoot a little fire at them..."

"So, she was a witch?" "Yeah... But she seemed like a good witch." "Oh, well... If she isn't trying to turn me into a rat, I have no problem with her."

She shrugged, turning around. "I guess I may as well go back to the library, try to study some more." "Have fun," said Angel, kissing her on the cheek. "Thanks." She smiled a little at him, then turned away for a minute. When she looked back, he was gone. "I hate it when he does that," she commented. Xander nodded.

"Um... I'll come with you. A little studying never hurt anybody."
