Soft, foamy waves splashed slowly against the soft and wet sand, giving off a peaceful feeling as the sun glittered its warm rays on the blue water. Buffy the Vampire Slayer sat all alone, long blond hair blown by the soft and cool air as she thought of everything that had happened during the last 3 years.
Anger and sadness filled her as images from the last years popped in her head, The Master, Faith going bad, running away, killing Angel, and finally, seeing the painful image of Angel leaving her, her first love. Buffy cried slowly as a soft breeze caressed her skin, then stood up, holding her stake in her right hand as she ran towards the glittering ocean, throwing the stake with all her frustration and anger into the water.
Buffy felt bleak and alone, tired of risking her life day by day, tired of putting her loved ones in danger, tired of making the hardest sacrifices of saving the world, just tired of everything involved with her Slayer duty. She wiped the tears from her eyes, ready to leave Sunnydale for a while, ready to start a normal life. As far as she's concern, the Slayer was dead.
Buffy walked slowly away from the peaceful ocean scenery, sudden images of her Angel popping in her head. Buffy smiled. Deep inside, she knew one day they'll be together again, after when all of this is over. One day we will, she thought. But now she had to moved on. Waves crashed behind her, bringing the Slayer one moment of real peace.
