The Next Night....
Buffy opened the door to the taxi cab and carried her one luggage, standing and looking outside in front of an old looking hotel right in the middle of L.A.
Excitement and happiness bubbled inside her as she entered the double doors, but to her surprise she saw no one there.
"Hello, is anyone here?" she yelled, looking around.
She stopped, hearing footsteps, heavy footsteps, coming down the stairs.
"Can I help you?" a male voice asked, not looking at the Slayer. It was Angel, looking more angelic than ever.
He stopped speaking, just staring at Buffy. Buffy stared at him as they both were speechless.
She had missed him so much, she started crying.
The memory of them staring at each other when Angel was leaving her, the moment after they destroyed the Mayor, flashed through Buffy's mind.
"Buffy," Angel said, too shocked to see his beloved Slayer standing in front of him. He thought it was his imagination, not the real thing.
Buffy dropped her bag and ran up to him as Angel wrapped his arms around her, gently kissing her forehead.
"Why are you even here? Weren't you suppose to fight The First?" he asked, puzzled. Buffy just smiled as she looked at him.
"The First is dead. And plus, I'n not the only Slayer anymore. I get to have a normal life now.
And.... I'm ready to be cookies." Buffy smiled, pulling out a bag of fresh chocolate chip cookies so Angel could see. He smiled.
He kissed her gently, happy that she can finally be his once more.
"Why are you here though?" Angel asked, curious.
"Like i said, I'm ready to be cookies. I want to be cookies.... with you.
Having you in my life again just like old times." Buffy stared at her Angel.
He smiled back as they kissed. The former one and only Slayer smiled,
Finally getting the chance to have real love at last, sharing it with her Angel and her loved ones.
The Slayer in me is gone for good, she thought as she kept kissing Angel.
She smiled as he gently kissed her, no longer having to feel empty and lonely anymore.
