Andrew eyes skimmed over the broken pieces of machinery at his feet. He felt like he should be reacting, feeling pain or anger or grief or pleasure or something, but all he felt was alone. All he felt was lost. All he felt was scared. He didn’t feel what he wanted. He had poured what he thought was his heart and soul into that footage, and then he found out, he was living a lie. He was making a lie and living it so well, even he thought it was the truth. He thought he would feel something, some emotion in which he could define himself with when he smashed the camera, but he didn’t. He wasn’t anything right now. He wasn’t even sure what or who Andrew was and he could never come to terms with the death of his friends until he realized that. He could never come to terms with the coming battle until he realized that. He could never live until he realized that.
Andrew took a deep breath and curled his fingers around the door knob.
