A/N I just really want to thank everyone who's taken the time to read and review what I've written. I'm so appreciative of all of your comments and am truly flattered at how many of them are positive ones, especially because this is my first fic. If theres anything I could be doing better, however, please don't hesitate for a minute to let me know, because that's the only way I can develop my stories.

Angel woke when he heard the almost inaudible "click" of the front door being closed. Sure, he had been sleeping, but it was a light sleep.
**I thought her mom wasn't going to be home** he thought, assuming the person entering the home was Buffy's mom Joyce. He didn't panic though, she was in the kitchen and sounded as thought she wouldn't be staying long. However, he damn near jumped off Buffy's bed when he heard footsteps comming up the stairs. As quietly as he could, he crept over to Buffy's closet and slipped in, just as the footsteps stopped in front of the door.
As he sat in the darkness of Buffy's closet, he listened as Joyce came in and started walking around the room. She set something on her daughter's desk and walked over to the dresser and opened it up.
Spending the day in a closet was not an alluring idea to him and he thought **I hope she doesn't stay long** assuming the noises he heard were Joyce straightening up her daughter's room.
If his heart had been beating, it would've stopped the minute he heard the footsteps walk towards the closet. He braced himself for the barrage of questions that would attack him the minute the door opened and Joyce found him hiding in her daughter's room. However, when the door opened he saw not the face of Joyce, but the face of Buffy. He sighed, even though it was unnessciary, and opened his mouth to say something. Which is when the door was abruptly shut again, casting him back into darkness.
**What the hell?**

Buffy crept as quietly as she could into her house and shut the door. She quickly scanned the livingroom and dining room to see if Angel was around, and saw that the rooms were empty.
**Ok, so he's not up** she thought to herself as she crossed into the kitchen. She walked over to the cupboards, and set down the cooler she had in her hands on the island on her way. She quickly filled up the glass with water from the fridge, grabbed the cooler again and headed upstairs. She paused in front of her doorway and tried to figure out how to balence the water and the cooler so that she could open the door.
**And I didnt' leave this in the kitchen because...why?** she asked herself as she put the cooler down next to her and opened the door. She picked up the cooler and walked into her room, putting the glass of water down on her nightstand.
**Where's Angel?**she asked herself and then immediately answered with the word **Basement** She put the cooler down on the desk, crossed over to her dresser and pulled out a pair of boxer shorts. She took off her shoes, slipped off her capris, and replaced them with the plaid shorts.
**I should let Angel know that I'm home...**she thougth as she picked up her shoes and walked over to her closet. She opened the door, put the shoes in, and then closed the door again. She took two steps away from the closet and froze. Something just wasn't right...
**Was that....Angel?** she asked herself as she turned around. She walked back to the closet to see if he was really there. She opened the door for the second time, and sure enough there he was, looking at her with a look of disbelief. She smiled at him apologetically and murmered "Sorry, I didn't see you there" as he craweled out of his hiding spot.
"Why were you in there anyways?" she asked him as he stood up. He looked at her sheepishly and said
"I heard someone come into the house and since you're normally in school right now, I assumed it was your mom.
Wait, why are you here?" he questioned, switching topics as concern washed over hime.
Buffy shrugged and said "I was tired and so I came home to sleep." She glanced at him and saw the look on his face and quickly added "That way, when I'm patrolling I won't be imagining things, or at least I can't blame what I do imagine on lack of sleep."
She crossed over to her bed and nodded towards the desk. He glanced over and saw the cooler sitting there and immediately understood.
"I stopped by your place on my way home" she explained. He looked at her gratefully and said "Thanks." He walked over to her and added "I'm going to go downstairs for a while, so you can get some rest. Will you be alright?"
He knew she knew what he was really saying and was grateful when she went along with him.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Just make sure I'm up before sunset." and with that she sat on her bed. He walked over to the desk, picked up the cooler, and walked out of the door.
"Sleep tight" he told her as he shut the door behind him. Left all alone, Buffy crawled into bed. Her head barely hit the pillow before she was asleep.
