Running through Weatherly Park trying to hide from three vampires running after her, Buffy the Vampire Slayer held her stake as she tried to hide behind the bushes, running out of breath. She stopped, actually finding a hiding spot behind a really big bush. She hid, careful not to make noise as the vampires stopped, wondering where the Slayer was hiding.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are, Slayer," one of them yelled, looking through the bushes to see if the small Slayer was there. Buffy held her breath, careful not to make any noise as she moved slowly to the other bush, seeing one of the vampires getting too close to where she was hiding. "I'm right here, you bastards. Come and get me," she yelled standing behind them, waiting to dust them straight to Hell.
"There you are Slayer. Now we're ready to sink our fangs into your soft pretty white throat." "What are you waiting fo then? Im starting to get bored waiting for you to kill me," Buffy faked a yawn. It angered the main vamp as he suddenly rushed towards her, snarling and stretching his arms out as if to grab her. Buffy didn't even move as she plunged the stake into his heart. the vamp didn't have time to react as he slowly turned into dust.
"Next," said the confident Vampire Slayer. The other two vamps looked at each other, then ran, too scared to even fight the Slayer. "Sissies," Buffy said to herself, hiding her stake in her jeans pocket as she walked slowly through the dark park, enjoying the beautiful night as she looked at the moon. Her Slayer senses suddenly picked up as she heard another presence behind her. She grabbed her stake from her pocket as she turned and saw Angel coming from behind the bushes, wearing a white tank top and leather jacket, looking gorgeous as ever.
"Oh. it's just you," Buffy said, actually not looking forward to talking to him, seeing how he only came to give warnings and such. "I was hoping you would show," Angel said slowly, walking besides her. "Why? so you can give me warnings that more danger is coming," she said, a little venom in her voice. " Not really. I was hoping you were ok." "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Had a bad feeling that's all." "Oh I see. Thinking that I couldn't take care of myself or something? I'm the Slayer. don't assume i don't know how to take care of myself just because i look small and fragile," Buffy said iciliy. Angel was taken aback by her words. "Sorry. I was just worried about you."
"I can take care of myself ok. I don't need you to worry about me." Buffy walked more faster, ahead of Angel. She didn't want to talk to him. She just wanted to go home. She knew she had feelings for him, as he did to for her, but he wanted to distance himself from her, not wanting to put her in danger. For Buffy, it annoyed the hell out of her.
Angel ran up to her, grabbing her arm gently. "What's wrong with you? Why are you acting like this?" he asked. "Why? you know why? I want to be with you but instead you want to stay away from me that's why. I want to kiss you so badly. It hurts me inside not being able to do even that with you." Anger, pain, and longing shown in Buffy's features as she looked away from Angel, not wanting to see his gorgeous brown eyes.
"You know why we can't Buffy. It's for your own good. You're a Vampire Slayer. I'm a Vampire. Don't you get it? We can't be together." "Why not? I love you so much. I don't care if you're a vampire. You know that being a Slayer I can't have a normal boyfriend. I want to be with you," pleaded Buffy angrily, so much emotion showing on her face.
It hurt Angel to see her expressing so much pain and love at the same time. If he had a heart , he would of felt heartbroken. He grabbed Buffy by the shoulders, trying to reason with her that they can never be together. "You can't be with me Buffy. I'm no man. I'm a monster. Why should you care to even love me after what had happened with Darla?"
Buffy felt speechless at what Angel had said. He was right, but she couldn't admit it. She couldn't take a no for an answer. She was too stubborn. "Because I do. I give my life to even have a kiss from you Angel!" She yelled, not really caring if someone had heard her. "I would die to be with you so much. I want you to be in my life, fighting alongside with me. I can't do it all alone. I want someone who I can love no matter what he was."
"I don't want to go through life without having someone to love." Buffy looked straight at Angel, pouring all her heart and soul she had to give at him.
