Whatever it Takes
Chapter 1
Spike picked up Buffy in his jeep, on his way to school. Seeing that they live right next to each other, it was totally no hassle.
“Hey Buff. What did you do last night?” asked Spike.
“Oh you know the usual,” Buffy said. “Got my driver to take me out shopping. Hit a few clubs. Then went out to a fashion show with the Beasties. You?”
“Well I picked up Cordy in my new sports car. Went to the most expensive place in town. Got bored went to my place for a little alone time.” Buffy giggled at the thought of Spike ever having a chance with Cordy.
“Stayed at home watched TV. and made a mix tape,” Buffy confessed.
“Played the guitar.” They got to school with only ten minutes to meet up with their friends. As they got out of the car, they saw Xander, Oz, and Andrew coming to school in Xander’s father’s garbage truck.
“Thanks dad,” replied the goofy boy.
“Spike don’t you think that maybe you should get over Cordy.”
“Why luv?”
“Well she is no good for you. She crushes men. She likes to play with their little hearts then throw them away like they’re nothing.” As she finishes, her gaze turns to a certain brunette getting out of a car. “And here come the little steamroller now.”
Spike watches Cordy like no other thing is left in the world. That all there is is a young lady strutting down the sidewalk and into the school. Buffy shakes Spike out of the drooling eye gaze and pushes him into the school. They walk in only to be thrown into the school auditorium, apparently for a presentation. When Spike sees the sight of his mother, the school nurse, or Joyce as she likes to be called, he cringes. ‘No not another end of the year sex talk.’
“Ok everyone please take your seats. This is the time of year that I like to have a talk with all the classes about a very important topic.” She goes behind the curtain and wheels out a very large object covered with a white sheet. Joyce pulls the sheet off to unmask a giant size penis. Everyone hoots and Hollers at the sight, everyone except Spike. Spike is the only one who is utter mostly embarrassed.
“As you all know summer is approaching and you know everyone is going to be partying and maybe having sex. Now the safest way of sex is absolutely not having sex.”
Spike gets distracted when; Cordy looks back and starts to talk, “Hey I am having a party. You’ll be there right?” Spike is so stunned to talk when, Angel, Cordy’s cousin looks at her and say, “Sure.” Spike mentally hits himself for not saying anything.
When the dreadful presentation is finally over, Spike and Buffy walk to their first class with Xander. Xander pushes Spike into Cordy while she is reapplying her lipstick, causing her to mess up. Spike takes a look at her and again mentally hits himself.
“Sorry about-” he takes another look at her. “-your mouth,” he says with a disgusted look on his face.
“Well, that’s the first complain I have ever heard about it.” She turns away and giggles with her two best friends, Harmony and Willow.
“Nice try Romeo,” Buffy says. “Come on lets get you to class"
