Road to L.A
“Why are we going to L.A.?” Dawn asked.
“To start a new life,’ Buffy replied, hastily. You would have thought Dawn knew the real reason-Angel. Since she finished with the Immortal, he was all Buffy could think about.
“Well, why didn’t we just go to Spain with Will and Kennedy?”
“Because...Spain’s too hot.” Buffy wasn’t giving in and she wasn’t telling her sister the truth.
“Rome was hot” Dawn answered in a matter-of-factly way.
“Look, Dawn. You can go to that special school you that you want to go to.”
“What? Med school?” Dawn smirked.
“Yeah.”
“Like we can afford that.”
~1 Hour Later~
L.A
The sisters pulled up to a run down apartment building. Doors were falling off and rats were running over the ground.
“Ok. So it’s not great, but it’s all we can afford at the moment ok?” Buffy said, reading her sisters disgusted look perfectly.
“We shoulda gone to Spain.” Dawn said under her breath as they entered the building

Buffy put the key in the lock to their new apartment, it broke. Dawn pulled her old library card out of her purse and slid it between the door and the wall. The lock clicked.
“Guess you don’t have to be super-natural.” Buffy said.
“It’s still not,” Buffy hit the door before Dawn could finish. “Open.”
“Dawn, you get settled in ok? I have to got see someone.” Buffy headed out the door. Dawn knew exactly who Buffy was going to see.

Buffy’s stomach was doing somersaults. She was going to see Angel. She hadn’t seen him since Sunnydale and that was over a year ago. What was she going to say? What was he gonna say? What if he had found someone else?

Buffy was standing in front of Wolfram and Hart. She walked in and spoke to the secretary.
“Angel, please,” Buffy said.
“Do you have an appointment?” the secretary asked.
“I’m a friend.”
“Sorry, you need an ap....”
“Buffy?” Angel said.
“Angel.” Buffy replied.
“Velma, cancel my 3 o’clock. Buffy come into my office.” the couple waked through.
“Angel, I need to..” Buffy began before Angel kissed her.
“Sorry.”
“Don’t be.” They kissed again.
“Oh Angel!” Buffy moaned, kissing him. “Wait! We can’t!” Angel put Buffy back on the floor.
“We can’t.’ Angel agreed. Buffy jumped back on him.
~The Next Day~
"Angel that was amazing!" Hold on," Buffy jumped out of the bed. "Angelus!"
"No! I'm not!"
"Huh? How do I know your not lying?"
"Buffy, you know you'd unconscious by now."
"Good point! But why aren't you Angelus?"
"I guess we were rewarded."
~2 Months Later~
“Angel, you can’t just do that!” Buffy yelled.
“Do what!”
“Don’t you dare act like you don’t know!”
“I don’t!”
“NINA!”
“What?!”
“I can’t do this! I’m leaving!”
“Leaving to go where?”
“I dunno, anywhere!”
“What about Dawn? She’s enjoying school here!”
“Well, can she stay with you? Good! Goodbye Angel!”
~1 Week Later~
San Francisco
“San Francisco, nice choice.” Buffy told herself.
~ 7 Months Later~
San Francisco Hospital
“Push! Miss Summers, push!” the nurse yelled.
“I am!”
“One final push, Miss Summers.” After that angel heard the cry of a new born baby girl. She was put in Buffy’s arms.
“Would you like to hold your daughter, Angel?” Buffy asked.
“My daughter? She can’t be my daughter. It’s not possible for her to be my daughter.” Angel replied.
“It’s like you said, I guess we were rewarded.” Buffy put the baby in Angel’s arms. “We still need a name.”
“What about Kayleigh Summers?” Angel suggested.
“No.” Buffy replied.
“No?”
“No, Kayleigh O’Neil Summers.” Buffy looked lovingly into Angel’s eyes.
“Really?”
“Really. And I want my door to say O’Neil Summers.”
“What?”
“Well, will you move in with me?”
“What?...I mean yes”
~2 Weeks Later~
“You’re a natural.” Buffy said to Angel.
“No, just in love with to beautiful girls.”
~10 Months Later~
“Go on. Punch my nose.” Angel said to his daughter. She giggled and punched her dad.
“Ow!” Angel said, his nose was bleeding. “You have got some strength in you.”
“Hey, Angel, honey.” Buffy said.
“Yeah?”
“What d’you think about enrolling Kayleigh in a toddler group?”
“I think it’s a great idea. Just be careful she doesn‘t hurt any other kids, she‘s rather strong.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. She must take after her mom and dad.” Angel gave Buffy a sweet kiss.
