Buffy stood inside the empty and dark Bronze nightclub,
waiting patiently for Angelus to come. Thinking about him stirred the dark passion and hatred inside of her for him.
She slowly walked towards the pool table, crossbow in hand, butterflies flying in her stomach.
She slowly stopped, hearing footsteps pounding softly behind her, someone whispering her name mockingly.
"Buffy..." Angelus whispered. With her Slayer reflexes, Buffy turned and shot an arrow straight at whoever was standing there.
She missed. Purple smoke glistened in the air, surrounding Buffy.
She smelled the familiar scent of Angel, not Angelus as if he was taunting her.
"Come on Slayer, don't go soft on me now," Angelus laughed, sending shivers in Buffy's spine. For the first time, she was afraid.
She sensed someone behind her as she turned. Angelus stood before her, looking devilishy handsome as ever as his brown eyes looked into Buffy's, "You don't ever think that you could kill me, huh, lover?" Angel taunted as he wrapped his hand around Buffy's throat.
"Let go of me," she warned. "I don't think so lover. You belong to me.Always." Buffy felt weak, afraid Angelus was going to bite her.
Instead, he gave her a hard kiss on the mouth as Buffy kicked and struggled to be free. "There. Now's there's something to
remember your Angel lover by," Angelus smiled at her and dropped her
as he opened the door and left, his long jacket and scent billowed behind him.
Buffy sat and looked on, trying to wipe the kiss from Angelus' mouth as a tear fell from her eye, dropping to the floor.
For the first time, Buffy felt more afraid as her heart began to turn icy cold.
