The three of them got back safely, however, Xander did snap both heels on Buffy's boots. She was not pleased. They were really expensive and it took her ages to find boots with stake-style heels.

Willow watched both of him. It was scary, she could see so much of Xander in Buffy and vice versa. It was quite uncomfortable. And it was obvious to her that they were uncomfortable in their new bodies as well. Buffy was having trouble with Xander's gangly legs and Xander was getting annoyed with Buffy's hair.

Soon though, they were safely in Willow's house. Willow's mother welcomed them warmly and sorted out sleeping bags and phoned Xander and Buffy's Mother's to let them know where their beloved children were. Then she went to bed, letting them talk freely.

Buffy (in Xander's body) was sitting cross legged on Willow's bed. Xander (in Buffy's body) was looking out of the window twisting a lock of hair around his finger. He was frowning slightly. So much had happened tonight and it wasn't even 11pm yet. He was worried about Cordelia. She would give him a real slapping tomorrow. Maybe he should change schools. Maybe his reputation wouldn't precede him in Alaska.

Willow broke the silence. She was booting up her computer. "What's gonna happen about the Slaying?"

Xander looked at Buffy. She shrugged. "I really don't know." She stood up and crossed over the side of the room furthest away from Willow. "Throw that pencil at me," she said pointing at Willow's desk. It was wooden and very sharp. "Throw it at my face." Willow looked uncertain. "Go on, I'll catch it." Willow still looked uncertain. "Now."

Willow did. Buffy caught it easily and twirled it around with ease.

"Well, that answers my question." Willow logged onto the internet. The modem squealed at her.

Xander turned around. "Whatcha doin'?"

"I'm trying to help Giles, there must be something about body-swapping. A myth or something. There must be some way of changing you back."

"I don't know. I'm getting quite in touch with my feminine side. If I'd had realised it was so beautiful I would have done it years ago." Xander got a smile from Buffy. "I still worried about Angel though. He's a nice chap - as far as vampires go, but I really don't want to get into any compromising situations with him."

"Is that not one of your fantasies?" Buffy shot back.

"No, boy-on-boy action is really not my drink of choice."

"What makes you think I get into compromising situations with Angel anyway?"

"Oh come on. I've seen how he looks at me- you- oh you know." Xander had that gleam in his eye.

"Children, children." Willow broke them up. "No bloodshed in here please." She turned back to her computer. Her fingers flew over the keys and pages flashed up and disappeared. Buffy and Xander looked over her shoulder.

"This is interesting." Willow clicked her mouse and a page appeared. Three pairs of eyes skimmed down the pages. "Bright lights, shock waves. . . does this sound familiar?"

"A little."

Willow frowned as she carried on reading. "It seems you disturbed some sort of ritual, it doesn't go into details here. But you did something to disrupt it and it went wrong. Hence the fact you are in each others bodies. Unfortunately, it doesn't say how to change you back. That looks like one for Giles." Willow clicked on another button and her printer whirred into life. "I'll print his page up so at least he'll have something to work with. Oh , I hope he changes you back. I like you two how you were. I can't see me and Buffy sharing girly secrets when she's in your body."

"Why not? I'm a great listener."

"Exactly. There are some things girl like to keep secret from her male childhood friend."

"Gee, thanks." Xander walked back over to the window.

"Oh, don't get all huffy with me, you know what I mean." Willow turned back to her computer.

Xander looked down at his new body. How do women cope with a rack like this? Surely it gets in the way? All that bouncing . . . oh bouncing!! A leer flickered across his - Buffy's face. It looked very strange on her face. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all!! The girl's locker room!! The shower in the girl's locker room!! Oh this was getting better and better.

He turned back to Willow and Buffy.

"Just out of wondering, when do you two have gym?"

Willow looked warily at him. "Why do you want to know?"

"I think I can guess." Commented Buffy.

"Well, I was just thinking, maybe you can leave changing me back until after then. You know, I don't mind." Xander grinned.

Buffy and Willow looked at each other. "You mean to say," said Willow. "That you want to do a girl's gym lesson."

"No," interjected Buffy. "Not participate, just sit in the locker room and perv."

"Hey!" Xander tried to look hurt. "That's not true. Do you really think I'm that much of a pervert?"

"What you mean you wouldn't take advantage of the opportunity?" Buffy raised an eyebrow at him. "Don't play the innocent with me. We know what you're like."

"Look," said Xander. "You can't blame a guy for trying!"

Willow yawned and shut down her computer. "Let's call it a night guys. I suppose you can both stay in here. It would look suspicious if Buffy's body slept on the couch and Xander's in here with me."

"Why? I think it's about time we created a scandal for you." Xander grinned wickedly. "You're always the nice one. Maybe it's time for a character change."

"I like being nice. It's . . . nice." Willow switched the computer off. "Xander?"

"Uh.-huh."

"You know where the blankets are kept, go and make yourself useful."

"Oh, ok. Only you've got to promise me something."

"What?"

"You both have to promise me that you don't peek anywhere I wouldn't let you look."

Both girls struggled to look innocent. "Xander," Buffy said. "We are not you. I might be in your body, but that doesn't mean I have the same urges as you."

Xander grinned. "Oh you just wait until the morning."

And with that he walked out, laughing.

It took him a while to find the blankets but when he walked back into Willow's room both girls were struggling to hide their smiles.

"You looked didn't you." Xander fixed both of them with a steely stare.

"You'll never know," chuckled Buffy.
