"Maybe we'd better head back to the hotel," Angel quietly suggested to Wes, Gunn, and Cordy.
"No, Angel. They need help. And we help people, remember?" Cordy pointed out to him.
"We help the helpless, Cordy. They aren't exactly helpless."
"So?" Cordelia wasn't about to tell Angel that he was right.
"Leo, can you sense her?"
The whitelighter concentrated for a moment, then shook his head.
"No, I can't. Which can only mean that she's in the underworld. That's the greatest evil center, which is the only place that I wouldn't be able to sense anyone."
"Um, are you talking about evil?"
"Yes." Prue turned to look at Cordelia.
"Wolfram and Hart are evil. If your friend--"
"Sister," Piper broke in, "--sister, then, was taken away by this thing--"
"Belthazor," Leo interrupted,
"--then she could be there."
"Who are they?" Prue asked.
"Lawyers. Evil lawyers." Angel walked up to Cordy.
"We shouldn't bother them, Cordelia," he started in his listen-to-me tone, but she interrupted him, showing smart-ass attitude that she hadn't displayed since Sunnydale.
"No, Angel. This girl--" "Phoebe," interrupted all three newcomers,
"--Phoebe, then, got kidnapped instead of me. The least we can do is help find her."
"Wait."
Prue put a hand on Cordelia's arm. "You were supposed to be our innocent?"
The other three men all choked back laughs at hearing Cordelia referred to as an innocent, but Piper glared at them all.
"I don't know what you mean about innocent, but I had a vision.... And I was the one who got kidnapped by Bozoar, or whatever his name was."
"You had a vision? Are you a witch?" Leo looked at her strangely.
"No... I got them from a half-demon, who liked me a lot, who sacrificed himself, but kissed me first and gave me these visions--" she broke off on the last word, and fell to the ground.
"What's going on?" Prue knelt down beside her, at the same time as the rest of Cordy's friends ran up.
"She's having one now," Wesley told them.
"You know, it never looks that painful when Phoebe does it."
"No," Leo told Piper quietly. "Witches and demons, or part-demons, can handle visions. But pure humans can't."
"Oh."
Cordy's eyes jerked open. "She was at Wolfram and Hart. With the demon... And Lindsey and Lilah."
"Damn!" Angel whirled around. "I KNEW he had to be with Wolfram and Hart! I should've been able to do something."
"She isn't lost yet," Wes pointed out, stopping Angel from going into complete brood-mode.
"Right?" he quietly checked with Cordelia. "No. They were just talking a lot."
"You can still help her, Angel."
"How do we get into Wolfram and Hart? Leo, can you orb us?"
"No. I can't orb into the Underworld, and I can't orb to this other place, either."
"No." Angel looked up. "You're all staying here. I'm going."
"She is our sister."
"But she's my problem. You're in my town."
"Yeah, but for how long?" With that familiar voice, Angel, Cordelia and Wesley all turned around...
