Buffy dragged herself up the stairs, sobbing silently. She didn’t want her mom to hear her, because she knew that her mom wouldn’t understand and probably wouldn’t be very upset that she wasn’t dating a vampire anymore. As she changed into her pajamas and crawled between the cold sheets of her bed, she started to think about times when Angel had been in her room, but that only made her more upset. Finally she fell asleep, but her dreams were as awful as her day. All night long she dreamt of Angelus coming and attacking her.

When she woke up, she pulled herself out of bed and did all she could to get changed and look *normal*. Then she rummaged through her bag for her car keys, and drove herself to Giles’ house. She went up to his big wooden door and stood there, trying to find the courage to enter and talk to him. Eventually, she knocked on the big wooden doors and he opened them and let her in. He ushered her over his couch that she had sat on so many times before, and they began to talk.

“Buffy,” Giles began slowly, “Willow told me what happened. You need to tell me everything you know about this so that we try to find out how it happened.”

“I…don’t…know.” She stammered, starting to cry again.

“Buffy, please. Just try to tell me what happened. I can help.” Giles pleaded.

“Fine. It was a normal night and I was out on patrol. I was going to meet Willow and Oz at the Bronze later, and we were going to hang out. Anyway, I was walking through one of the smaller cemeteries, and suddenly Angel came out from behind a statue-thing. Creepy…but pretty standard Angel. Then he came at me, and I noticed he didn’t look normal. That was when he tried to attack me. He grabbed me, and was going for my neck when some lady who was tending a grave screamed because she saw us. He got distracted and let go. I ran away from him and he yelled that Angelus was back and he was coming for me. I ran straight to the Bronze, knowing that Willow and Oz would be there. Then they took me home… and that’s it.”

“Buffy? Are you sure you can’t remember anything else?” Giles’ asked, “We need to know as much as we can to help us figure out what caused this.”

“Look,” Buffy said angrily, “If I knew something, I would tell you. Wouldn’t I?”

“Uh, yes… I suppose so. Um… Willow will be coming over soon to help me research so you can go home if you’d like.” Giles replied.

“Ok. Thanks Giles.” Buffy stood up and walked out of his house, leaving Giles to wait for Willow.

Poor Buffy, Giles thought, we really need to find out what happened to Angel. I hope we can get him back to normal. Then Giles went into the kitchen, made himself a cup of good old fashioned British tea and sat down on the couch to wait for Willow.

About 20 minutes later, Giles was on his second cup of tea and was starting to get impatient. Willow should have been there 15 minutes ago and Giles was getting impatient. Suddenly he heard a knock on the door, and when he went to open it he saw Willow standing there and she looked hurt. Her nose was bleeding and she was holding on to her wrist, crying.

“Willow,” Giles asked quickly, “What happened?”

“Angelus attacked me when I was coming over here. I had cut through an alley to save some time and he came out from behind a dumpster and tried to bite me. I managed to get into the sunlight and I ran straight here. I’m scared Giles. REALLY scared.” Sobbed Willow.

“You’ll be okay. Is anything broken?” Giles asked as he moved aside to let her in.

“No. I’m just a little banged up,” Willow said, “But I know what happened to Angel.”
