"Its not the best hotel room but it will do" Alec shrugged. Who just came through the door followed by Buffy.
"Thank you." Buffy said, quietly and then she put her bag on the hotel bed.
"No problem" Alec sighed "Anyways you have to phone this guy name James Casten for a position at The Overdrive. Just tell him you know me and you get the job right way."
"Thank you again" Buffy said tiredly
"No problem again" Alec smiled "Well I got to go besides you tired get some rest and call James tomorrow"
"Okay well I guess this is good bye" Buffy gave a small smile and looked at Alec.
"Yeah it is. Well good bye maybe will might run to each other again" Then Alec went open the door and through it leaving Buffy behind in her hotel room.
Buffy looked in her bag for her pajamas. She was really tired and exusted but lately she didnt know why.
So she got on her sushi pajamas and went to bed.
"So Buffy left why? Faith asked, she was a little curious.
"We don't know why." Xander said causally
"So her watcher is not at the retreat but busy trying to find her." Faith tooked bite out of her sandwich. who was sitting a stool. While the Xander and Cordilea were sitting on the sofa and Oz and Willow sat on the oppisite side on different sofa.
"What retreat? and yeah he is busy trying to find her? Willow told Faith.
"That’s a shame I really wanted to meet the famous B" Faith shrugged "and you know the retreat that some watchers go"
The Scooby gang was really completely clueless.
"Yes there’s a watcher retreat every year in the Cotswolds. It's a lovely spot. It's very s-serene. There's horse riding and hiking and punting and lectures and discussions. it's a great honour to be invited. Or so I'm told but anyways I cannot go." Giles said in a disappointment, then looked down at the table.
"Well I guess it would be fun if you were invited and Buffy was still here then maybe you can go but your not invited and Buffy left so what can you do" Xander shrugged, he wanted to move on. If Buffy comes back she comes back and yet Giles think he can find her but Giles can't like I said before if Buffy wants to be found she will be found But she doesn’t want to so why try but just do are best doing her slayer job and just wait for Buffy to be ready to come home Xander thought.
"So" Faith shrugged "I gonna get some vampire killing action tonight and I see ya people tommrow." then she walked out of the libary doors.
"I better get home I need to do my homework" Willow said
"You need a ride." Oz said quietly then he slowly went to Willow. Where she was sitting on the opposite side of table.
"Yes" Willow smiled at Oz .Then she looked at the others."bye" Then Willow and Oz left.
Xander looked at Cordilea. Cordilea gave a smile and Xander smiled back, Still looking at cordilea "Well Giles we gotta head out, will see ya tommrow" So Xander and Cordilea went to each other and they hold while there were leaving. Leaving Giles alone doing his work.
Buffy woked up a half a hour go getting ready. She already phone James Casten and got a job.
This Hotel was alot better then the one she stayed in before. The walls were white with a few paintings on the walls and the rug was dark brown. The blankets were red and the room had a table and a couple of chairs but it was only temopary because she wanted to living in a apartment instead of a hotel but she again she didn't know why. She didnt know what to do she had a job at night but is she was going to do all day but to drown in sorrow.
It was lunch and Willow decide to go in the libary. She just came through the doors "Hey Giles".
Then Giles came out of his office looking through the books "Hi willow" Then he looked at willow. "Is there something you needed"
"Oh no I just wanted to see what you were doing." Willow smiled, and she went and put her books on the table.
"A friend of mine said He seen sighting of a girl with Buffys description in San diego" Giles said importantly
"So what are going to do?.. I mean tell me the details" Willow talked
"He said that he seen Buffy outside of a hotel yesterday, early that morning" Giles told willow "And I just called the police in San diego and gave them Buffys discription just in case if they might find her."
"Thats good but..." Willow said hopefully
Then got interupted by Xander "Hey guys whats the what?". Who just came throught the libary doors and was leaning on the libary counter faceing Giles and Willow.
"There was a Buffy sighting" Willow said seriously
Xander had a blank look "I see..look I think we should leave her alone where ever she is. Besides you tried finding were before but that turned out useless. If she doesent want to stay here or be friends then she should go right ahead" They looked at Xander. " all I am saying is its useless trying to find her when she dosent want to be found."
Willow and Giles were speachless.
The bell rang "Well we better get going to class?" Xander changed the subject.
"yeah" Willow said kind of shocked. She thought about it. Buffy ranned away from her problems but what problems was there problems? She didnt know. The more she thought about it the more Xander was right.
What can she do. ugh she felt useless but what can she do. So she went with Xander to there lockers.
Leaving Giles standing there. "I am her watcher" He mumbled. He like Joyce was worried for her. How can she do this. He thought of what Xander said over and over again while he was working and getting ready to leave to San diego but he knew that he was not giving up.
It was 6:30 pm. Giles was going to leave at 7:00 but he wanted make sure everything was going to be alright. Then he thought about the new slayer Faith. Usualy a watcher should of gave the slayer assignments before they leave. So he pick up the phone and he phoned the council "Hi yes I would like to get a hold of Faiths watcher." Giles talked as Giles was listening his face got more disturbing "Yes I watch over her till the new watcher comes." as soon as Giles was done he sat down in his chair in distraught then he called Willow and told her to get everybody to the libary for a meeting about Faith.
All Buffy slept all day. She had nothing to do but not it was time to get ready and go to her new job at The Overdrive. So she got ready. She hated how she felt. She was mad at herself. She was so sad for leaving but it was the right thing to do and again she was thinking about what had happen in the past, over and over again. She wanted to stop!!!! But how? So she tooked a deep breath and just left to her new job.
Xander and Cordilea came through the libary doors.
"Whats up" Xander said while he went to the table and sat on the chair which followed by cordilea who sat right beside Xander.
"Its about about Faith." Giles said importantly, while he was looking at Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordilea who were all sitting at the table. "Her watcher is dead and she ranned away after her watcher died"
"What is it with slayers and running away?" Xander said causal.
"Its not why Faith ranned away but from whom?" Giles said
"Why won't you just ask her?" Willow said in concerned.
"Not a bad idea" Xander shrugged. He thought why all these slayer run away from there troubles instead of guessing why. Can't just we ask why? well one of the slayers that ranned away or here we should just ask her.
"yes I will ask her" Giles argreed.
Buffy seen the building where she had to work, The Overdrive. She took one deep breath and she stood in front of the building "Here I go." Buffy mumbled. She came up to the door. There were a few people standing infront of the door "Um excuse me I need to get in the club" Buffy said in a small voice.
"Thats what everybody wants." said the guy who guarding the door "but 10 dollers to get in, you see its the admission"
"Well I have to pay 10 dollers for me to go in and go work wow. Buffy said not amuse.
"See if you working here, you have to go to the back door but I see its your first time I will let you in this way next time you will know." The guy talked.
Buffy looked at him and went in the club. She didnt like the guy. Buffy sense something strange about him.
She looked around, there were alot of people. She went to the bar counter and seen a girl and then went to her. "I am looking for James Casten. I got a job here."
"Not a prob, My name is Sarah." Then the girl turn a way from Buffy and yelled."Jeff can you Hold this spot. This girl want to see James"
"Alright" said the voice in the back.
"Okay over here" Sarah pointed at the end of the bar counter there was a door and a sign that said staff only. "So what is your name?" Sarah said as she was walking to the door.
Buffy looked down "Lindsay"
As soon a they got there. Sarah open the door and went throught the small hallway to the end. Then Sarah knocked.
"Come in" said the voice behind the door. Sarah went in, followed by Buffy. "Sarah.."
"James look new girl is here" Sarah said.
"Well I see, Your Lindsay " James talked " Well you can get started working as waitress kind of"
"Well I got to get back to work" Sarah shrugged then she left.
"Thank you" Buffy said in small voice.
"Okay then go to the staff room theres a closest to put you coat, bag or anything you and hear" James handed Buffy some keys. " You will need this and Leah will show you how to do things okay."
"alright" Buffy said. Here I go she thought.
"Well I go get Leah and you can go to the bar and wait" said James
Faith walk into the libary and seen Giles, Willow and Oz looking in some books. "Hey whats up"
"Faith we have to talk about your watcher" Giles said seriously
"No we don't have to. The whole talking about my watcher seems kinda boring to me." Faith dismissed the subject.
"We know your watcher is dead faith" Giles talked " But we wanna know what killed your watcher."
"Killed what he did to her, sad I know but its time I got to go." Faith said in a rush.
"Tell me who is it. that killed you watcher"Giles said
"Look he is gone" Faith took a breath " There is know need to stirr, besides if you want the name his its Kakistos"
"Hes dead?" Giles repiled
"No but I reckon we won't see him in a while" Faith smiled.
"But we still have to be ready" Giles answered
"Alright alright" Faith said causual. "If he comes I will be ready."
Giles turned to Willow "Can you look up a Kakistos"
"I am on it" Willow got up and went a pile of books
"Well I should stake the vamps and see want going on" Faith said amused.
Giles nodded. Then faith left through the libary doors.
