Chapter 2
Buffy and Dawn got dressed and packed and headed towards the airport. Buffy filled Dawn in on the way.
"So are we going to have to live in L.A.?" Dawn asked.
"I don't know. I hope not. We have really settled down here. Hopefully all we will have to do is take care of business and then we can come back home."
Buffy knew that that was probably not going to happen. She didn't want to think about it but they were probably going to die in battle. No, she couldn't think that way...for Dawn's sake.
"So it's back to the slayer life" her little sister sighed.
"Seems like it." the Slayer replied
They finally got to the airport, and luckily there was still tickets available for depating to L.A. in 2 hours. When time came they boarded the plane that set off for L.A. On the flight, both of them slept. They woke up a couple of hours later and just sat there and thought about the tasks that lay ahead. They got there around 5 in the morning L.A. time. As her and Dawn walked to get their luggage they saw a tall man, a familiar looking red head and a brunette holding around the red heads arm. Buffy ran up and scared all three of them. It was Giles, Willow and Kennedy.
"Oh Buffy, we were hoping to meet you here." the ex-Watcher said while trying to catch his breath.
They all hugged each other and said there 'Hello's'.
"Oh, Buffy I've missed you guys so much, I've meant to call, it's just that I've been kind of busy." the Wicca told Buffy.
"It's alright Wil."
"Yeah, we've all been kind of busy" Dawn added.
"Kennedy, how have you been?" Buffy asked.
"Well, you know, kinda down right know, but before that really good."
"Hey Giles, what about Faith, is she on her way?" the Slayer asked.
"Why don't you ask her yourself?" a voice behind her asked.
"Faith!" Buffy sadi as she turned around.
"Yeah, well I caught a plane with Giles and the others, it's lucky I was in England at the time." Faith told her.
"Cool. Where's Robin at?" Buffy asked.
"He stayed in England. He told Giles he would watch over the potentials and the Council while he was gone." The other Slayer told her.
"Sounds fun." Buffy said "So how bout we get our stuff and we go to Angel's"
Everyone murmered sounds of agreement. They got their luggage and headed out of the airport. They called a Taxi and squeezed in together. Giles got the front and the girls squeezed in the back, they put their luggage in the trunk. Buffy gave the driver directions to the Hyperion. They drove around and Buffy was tour guide. She told them about all the shops and pointed out the region where her old High School was, the one before Sunnydale High. They finally arrived. Buffy was the first to get out, her heart was pounding, she was nervous, she was about to see Angel again. She and the others walked up to the door. Buffy knocked. Someone opened the door. It was Lorne.
"Hey sweet cakes how are you doing?" Lorne said.
"Ha Ha. Hi Lorne. Can we come in?" Buffy asked.
"Sure why not. Come in and make yourself at home." He invited them in.
They all went inside. It was a Hotel that Angel took over. It was very spacious. Angel walked into the room accompanied with 4 other people: Wesley, Gunn, a blue lady, and...
"Spike?!?!" Buffy said louder than she meant too. "What are you doing here I thought you were- I thought you were dead."
"Nice to see you to love." Spike replied.
"What happened? How are you here? I mean it's not like I'm not happy to see you it's just, how?"
Angel stepped in and explained everyhting. He told them all how the amulet he gave to Buffy that Spike wore, sucked him into it and somehow it was transfered to Angel and POOF! Spike came out.
"Well isn't that interesting" Giles said when he finished.
Willow asked "Where's Fred?"
Angel and Co.'s face all looked saddened, except for the blue lady. Angel began to explain again, how Illyria came into Fred's body and took over. Willow looked like she was about to cry. Buffy turned from her and for the first time looked at Angel. He stood there and looked all broody. He still looked as handsome as ever though.
"Hey, where's Cordy? She's still with you guys, right?"
Again everyone's face was saddened. Except for Illyria's, again. This time Wesley told the story about Jasmine and Cordelia. Also how she visited them one last time before she died. Everyone was really down, except for Faith and Kennedy since they never really knew Cordelia.
"Okay instead of telling us things one thing at a time, just tell us everything that has happened after we beat the First." Buffy suggested.
Angel took over again. He started with Spike coming back, and then Cordy coming out of a coma, then went to Illyria possesing Fred then told them about the apocalypse. How Wolfrom and Hart was destoyed, Conner figureing out who he was, Wesley nearly dieing but was revived just in time, Gunn barely surviving from an almost mortal wound, and the hords of demons. He told them how it looked like they were about to all die, but then the fates interfiered, saying that it wasn't time and the demons were cast back through the portal they came from. He said that's what he thinks brought the Hellmouth to L.A. and under Wolfrom and Hart.
"Wow it looks like you guys have had your hands full" Willow said.
"Yeah, looks like" Buffy said. " I say we start figuring out how to beat the First. I think we shou-"
"I've got it" Willow interupted. She looked at everyone's expresion. " Oh no, not the First, Illyria and Fred. I think I've figured out a way to fix them."
It was the first time since Buffy got there that Illyria spoke "Really? How?"
"Well since Fred's soul isn't gone, I think that I could bring her essence out of Illyria and they would be 2 people, but Fred wouldn't remember anything that happened after she was posessed."
"I don't know, there are a lot of not knowing" Giles said.
"No, do it." Wesley said. "I will help you find out everything you need to know." His face looked really concerned.
"Okay now that we got that figured out. This is what I think we should do about the First. Alright, first we nee-"
The door opened and Buffy heard a voice behind her. "Have I missed anything guys?"
Buffy was frustrated "OK, whats with everyone interupting m-" she turned around. "Xander!?!?" both her and Willow said it at the same time.
But Xander wasn't alone, someone was with him, someone real familiar....Anya!
