"Andrew? Were...you just talking to yourself?" asked Dawn suspiciously.
"No, no, no. Of- of course not." he said.
"What the-" she said.
"Dawn. I know this is very hard to understand but..."
"I uh-"
"Dawn," he took a long pause and a deep breath. "I love you. With all my heart. With all the love I can give to you. You are very sweet and kind. And I know you haven't given me the chance but, Dawn I just want you to know anyway that...I love you."
Dawn looked at him in surprise.
"And that I would do anything for you. Please be mine."
"Andrew I..." she was about to shed a tear. "I'm sorry." she ran upstairs to her room.
"I understand." said Andrew bravely. He cried and cried and cried. He thought he had never been more sad in his life.
"I love you Dawn." With that, he threw his bowtie down and walked outside. Dawn watched him from her bedroom window, knowing that she had broken his heart into a million pieces that could never be fixed.
"I'm so sorry."
