A.N.-I’m skipping ahead a few months in the story because I really wanted to get to the action/suspense that this is really about. Okay so quick update; as of now it’s been about six months and everything is going great for the Giles family. Rupert is still at the librarians’ position at Sunnydale high. Jenny is now the computer programming teacher and she is usually assisted by Willow. Buffy and Angel are now officially a couple along with Faith and Lindsey. Everything is going really good for everyone and now is the time that I get to screw it all up.
Part Four
Darla pulled her brand new 2004 corvette into the driveway. She got out and slammed the door shut. She stalked up the walk to her home. The mansion door was made of mahogany and gold trim. Thankfully the door was also strong considering how hard Darla slammed it shut. Darla dropped her book bag by the table by the door and followed her mother’s screaming voice into the kitchen.
“Absolutely not! That house is worth more then she is! Tell that bitch we will take no less then $200,000 for the place. Remind her that it is a Ryan home and that if she wants it then she will pay!”
Darla took a moment to admire her mother. Heather’s waist length blonde hair was braided down her back and at the moment her brown eyes were filled with fire and anger. Heather was a slim 5’ 6’ and she had all the makings of a professional woman.
Heather slammed her phone shut and smiled at her daughter, “Hey sweetie, how was school?”
“Terrible. The teachers get so mad when you refuse to take a test because you don’t feel good. Plus Angel doesn’t even look at me anymore just at that blonde slut.”
Heather cocked her head, “Blonde slut?”
Darla sighed, “I told you about her remember, or maybe it was dad. Anyway Elizabeth Giles and her twin sister Faith Giles moved here six months ago and ever since then the two of them stole my boyfriend and Harmony’s boyfriend.”
“Darla, I thought Harmony and Lindsey broke up around the same time as you and Angel?”
“They did, but they still like us. I am so positive about that. And apparently they both have a little secret or something because neither of them likes to talk about their past or about what New York which means something bad must’ve happened right?”
Heather leaned onto the counter and tapped her perfectly manicured nails, “You could possibly be right or maybe they just don’t like talking about it. Are they well-off people?”
“They must be because they own two motorcycles and their clothes would be nice if they didn’t always seem to be such dark colors.”
“What are their names again?”
“Elizabeth and Faith Giles.”
Heather nodded, “I don’t recognize the names but I’ll ask your father when he gets home.”
Darla reached into her purse, “Here, Harm took these pictures with her camera and we printed them up in computer lab.”
Heather looked closely at the two pictures. The first was of Buffy and Angel sitting in the park and sharing a book that they were both studying out of. The second was of Faith and Lindsey on a date at the Espresso Pump.
“I thought you said that they are twins.”
“Fraternal twins. The blonde is Elizabeth and the brunette is Faith. Harmony was so pissed about that date."
Heather took a deep breath and looked her daughter in the eyes, “Sweetheart, did you ever think that maybe you should move on from Angel, he’s moved on from you.”
Darla stood up in a rage knocking her chair to the floor, “NO!!! He loves me!! I know it.”
Before Heather could say another word on the subject Darla ran out of the kitchen to her own room and slammed the door. Heather just sat at the table and looked over the pictures which furthered her daughter’s obsession.
“Good evening.”
Heather looked up in surprise at her husband, “Danny! I didn’t expect you home yet.”
“I got out of work early and there was not much traffic,” Daniel quickly looked at the pictures, “What are these of?”
“They’re pictures of the new girls at school, Elizabeth and Faith Giles. Apparently they moved here six months ago from New York and I’ll give you two guesses as to why Darla and Harmony took those pictures.”
Daniel laughed, “I only need one, Angel Roarke and Lindsey McDonald.”
Heather turned to look out the window at the passing cars, “Apparently they hit it off with each other and unfortunately Darla doesn’t realize that her and Angel will never happen,” Heather waved her hand around absently, “Plus she’s got this weird theory that just because they don’t talk about their past means that they’re hiding something.”
Daniel laughed as he absentmindedly moved the pictures onto the counter, “They seem like nice girls so I doubt that they’re hiding something.”
Heather turned around to agree and looked in surprise at her husband, “Honey, are you okay? Danny you’re really pale.”
“Hm, yeah. Sorry I don’t think I ate enough today.”
Heather pushed him out of the room, “Go lie down in the living room. I’ll have Donna start on dinner”
Daniel nodded and headed towards the living room.
Later that night
That night someone else was also looking at pictures of Buffy and Faith, and there were many; Buffy getting off her bike the first day of school; Faith riding around with Lindsey; both girls entering their home; and more of them from New York. There was only one picture of the twins when they were younger, around nine. They were both wearing soccer uniforms, covered in mud and grass stains, and smiling right at the camera.
“Ahh, my beautiful girls, I’ve found you again and so close to me this time. So much like your mother and just like her you’ll never leave me again!”
An evil smile crosses the predator’s face, “Time to begin again.”
