Chapter 10
‘Faith!’ Willow yelled through the house.
‘Yeah, Will.’ Faith yelled back
‘Can you get me a wet cloth or something?’
‘Sure!’
Faith walked through the house holding an ice cold cloth.
‘Thanks.’
‘What’s it for?’ Faith asked.
‘Xander. I’m hoping to wake him up.’
‘I told you, Will I tried *everything* to get him to wake up. He ain’t gonna wake!’ Willow wiped Xander’s forehead.
‘Huh!’ Xander woke up.
‘No way did that happen with just a cold cloth! You used magic!’ Faith declared.
‘Nope. Guess it’s just a best friend’s touch, huh Xand?’
‘What? There was a woman.’
‘Yeah, that would be me! By the way, Will, where’s B.?’ Faith said.
Willow mouthed the words ‘Outside with Angel’.
‘With Angel?’
‘Deadboy! He’s here?’ Xander asked.
‘Xander calm down!’ Buffy said walking in the door.
‘Well, at least it’s not Sp.... Spyro the Dragon. You know, Will, from the PS1 game?!’ Xander asked.
‘Yeah...he could ruin your new carpet!’ Willow stared a Xander.
‘Where’s Dawn?’ Buffy asked.
‘Oh, yeah, I need to talk to you about that.’ Willow lowered her voice. ‘It’s Kevin. Police called. He’s dead. Police report said he had gashes in his legs but they happened a while a go, they were wrapped up.’
‘So this thing definitely kills then! We need to find a cure quick! We don’t know how long Angel has,’ Buffy said.
‘Buffy, thanks,’ Angel said walking in.
‘I’m not kidding! We need to do some extreme research. I want a cure and I want it now. Then one of you will tell me where to find this demon, and I’ll kill it. Will, I need you to get whoever you can get in New York on to this! Giles, dig up any dirt on the demon you can. Send for your best fighter’s, I need them here! Faith, I need you to....do what ever it is you do that isn’t screwing. Xander, concentrate on getting better, then remember your eye test. Angel, do you have any friends that might know about this Morkata demon?’
‘I might, just let me make a few calls.’
‘Ok. Then everyone has a job to do. I’m going to go see my sister!’ Buffy walked out of the room.
‘Did that remind anyone of Sunnydale?’ Robin asked.
‘That was pretty short as B’s speeches go. honey. Now come on. we’re going to see some friends’ Faith walked out the room.
‘Friends?’ Robin followed.
Willow grabbed the phone and Giles went to put on some tea. Xander got up and went for a shower. For some reason, he smelt like Faith and had lipstick on him? Angel headed back outside.

‘Dawn?’ Buffy knocked on the door. ‘Dawn, can I come in?’
‘NO!’
‘Come on, Dawnie. I can help.’
‘NO, YOU CAN’T!’
‘Please...’
‘FINE!’
Buffy opened the door. She walked in to her sister’s bedroom. How different it was from the room at Rovello Drive. Not the purple princess room but dark blue woman room. Buffy walked over to Dawn’s bed and sat down.
‘Will told me about the phone call.’
‘Yeah, well, don’t even say you know how I feel cause you don’t!’
How wrong Dawn was. Buffy was cut up inside after finding out Spike had died.
‘I know... We’re researching the thing, and I’m gonna kill it!’
‘I’m gonna help! I have to! For Kevin.’ Dawn started crying again.
‘You don’t have to do anything until you’re ready.’
‘Well, I’m gonna help now. I’ll use my laptop.’
‘Ok! You do that. I’m gonna go downstairs and make sure everything’s in order.’
‘Buffy.’
‘Yeah?’
‘Thanks.’
‘Don’t worry about it!’
