Part Nine

Buffy was still giddy from the previous day's events. Blab - A - Thon had been fun, and entertaining to the whole school. She'd gotten out of all her homework, after all.
As lunch rolled around, she decided to go visit Angel. Willow and Xander both had to make up a test they'd missed in chemistry, so they weren't around. Oz had a different lunch, and Cordelia was hanging out with her flock of sheep for once. Old habits die hard, they say.
Angel usually had nothing to do for lunch, so she was surprised to find his classroom vacant. The lights were off and the door had been closed. Chewing her bottom lip thoughtfully, she tried to think of where he might go. He wouldn't be able to travel around comfortably, with the sun and all. There were a few classrooms he could get to upstairs without getting burned, and the faculty lounge. He was probably there.
The faculty lounge was usually empty. It was a small dingy place, not that much bigger than a closet, and had a small TV, Coke machine, and kitchenette. Buffy'd been there a few times after school with Giles.
When she approached the small doorway, she heard sounds from the television coming from there. Peering around the corner, so as not to suddenly come face to face with any teachers, (or Herr Snyder) she saw Angel lounging on the crappy, old couch. She was about to say something, but caught onto what the television was announcing.
"Angel!" She screamed loudly, making the vampire jump. His face turned pale when he saw her. Well, paler than usual, and he quickly moved to grab the remote.
Buffy beat him to it and stared at the TV to confirm her suspicion. Yup! The traitor had been watching Teletubbies again!
"Uh, Buffy, Honey, I can explain..." he stared nervously, as she stared daggers at him.
"No need to explain, you weak, lying, traitorous, inconsiderate, but surprisingly cute Hell boy!" She walked towards him, backing him into a wall.
"Now, sweetie, don't you think you're overreacting just a tiny bit," he tried to calm his girl down, but she was not thinking rationally.
"NO! I do not think that I'm overreacting just a tiny bit, in fact, I think I'm underreacting! Yeah, and you are so going to pay for this, you coward! Angel?!? Get out from underneath that table, it's not going to protect you from this, you loser!"
"Put that down first, Buffy, what are you going to do with that.....Buffy! Come on reason with me! Umm, dear, that's not meant to go there...YYYYEEEOOOWWW!!!"
Five minutes later, Buffy emerged from the faculty lounge straightening her dress and holding a mangled can opener in her right hand as a souvenir. Later, Giles commented on Angel's stiff limp he had suddenly gained. Angel just sat in a chair and crossed his legs uncomfortably. Buffy smirked at the confused watcher.
"I showed him the real way to use a can opener," she offered.
Giles face paled about 7 shades, and he had to sit down and cross his own legs.
