TIES THAT BIND
So yay…this is my I haven’t slept in two days chapter… I’m quite proud! Enjoy!
----- Chapter Six -----
Willow did not know how to comfort her wounded friend. Buffy couldn’t tell her guests about demons, but lying was tearing her apart.
“Go have sex, it always makes me feel better.” Anya optimistically stated
“No thanks Ahn, the last thing I need is sex. I wish there was a way I could tell them about the real Sunnydale without them knowing about my slaying. Does that make sense?” Buffy replied.
“Well it sure doesn’t make dollars…That was stupid I know, but it sounded funny in my head.” Anya grinned.
Willow rolled her eyes. She went back to trying to pry Buffy from the bathroom.

“And the Jackass of the year award goes to Logan.” Scott snidely said. “Why did you have to come ruin my vacation?”
“I didn’t come for that reason, it’s just a bonus. Believe it or not moron, that was about me trying to help a girl that was drowning in problems.” Logan snapped.
Jean finally had enough fighting. She convinced Scott to go out to buy groceries and medical supplies, while Logan cooled off in the basement. Ororo went upstairs to see how Buffy was feeling. Just as Ororo went to knock on the door, it opened and out came Anya, Buffy, and Willow.
“I came to check on you ladies and see if anyone was hungry. Every one has cleared out so it’s safe to come down stairs. Jean and Scott went shopping and Logan is in the basement.” Ororo was the great mediator. Everyone took up the offer of food.

While Ororo cooked and Anya, Buffy, and Willow talked. Ororo made light conversation about being a teacher at a private school. The four women enjoyed each others company as they ate together at the countertop.
“So do you have a boyfriend back in New York?” Willow asked.
“No. There is no man waiting for me. I enjoy my work and I stay quite busy. There is never time for dating.” Ororo said quite matter-of-factly
“Wow, that’s a lot like Buffy here. She has no sex life and in my opinion that makes her cranky. So if you know any single men, Buffy needs the company.” Anya stated
“Anya! Shut up please!” Buffy yelled out in shock. She wasn’t too surprised by Anya’s statement and maybe it was true, but Buffy didn’t feel that Scott’s friend needed to know about it.
Ororo just laughed politely and changed the subject to the quaint town of Sunnydale. “What do you do in this small town, Buffy”
“This is sadly about it. The gang piles together and we all hang out. Nothing to great or even slightly interesting.” Buffy admonished
“So then that mugging must have been quite the gigantic event. What I do not understand is why were you attacked so badly, yet nothing appears to be stolen. You have yet to report the attack to the police. But don’t mind me. These are just my observations.” Ororo looked around waiting to hear an answer.
“Are you like always this observant? I mean, you can read people so well.” Willow stated with awe.
“Well it was quite suspicious the way you all behaved. Everyone has noticed the strange actions of you all.” Ororo stated smiling at the girl
The girls were interrupted by a figure in the entry way. Logan looked at the comfortable scene and made his way to Ororo’s side where he mumbled something to her that the rest of the group could not hear. Then Logan pulled out a cigar, bit down and left the kitchen. As he stood on the porch smoking he heard a tiny voice behind him.
“That’s a bad habit” Buffy said gesturing to the stogie
“So is lying. But hey, we all have our vices.” Logan said nonchalantly
“Listen asshole! I wasn’t the one attacking already injured people!” Buffy shouted indignantly
“No you were the one lying to everyone and taking unnecessary risks with your life.” Logan shot back
“Funny, I don’t remember asking for you to care. So back off." Buffy retaliated

The yelling could be heard in the kitchen. Suddenly the yelling stopped and the girls listened to the eerie quietness. Ororo looked out the kitchen window to make sure that Logan had not killed Buffy then turned back to the girls with a grin.
“What? What did you see?” Anya demanded
Ororo with a slightly embarrassed smile said. “Logan is kissing Buffy”
