The Oracles stand, looking around at each other.
Oracle #1: He sinned! The price he had to pay was the addition of his soul, including its loss if he ever experienced one moment of true happiness. It happened before, and although innocents payed the price, he must face up to what is coming. He knew what was coming and he took the risk.
Oracle #2: Yes, but he loves the girl. Look what he did for her, giving up his one chance at humanity to save her. He has truly become a hero, and we all know that he will be important in the final battle, Angelus could swing the balance towards evil forever. Do we really want to take that chance?
Oracle #1: But this is exactly what he wants us to do. He is counting on us thinking he is a valuable part of the team. He is blackmailing us into letting him keep his soul to be with the slayer.
Oracle #3: You saw her. She was killing herself. She needs him more than any of us could ever have guessed. Even if we do not need him in this battle, she is the strongest slayer in hundreds of years, possibly of all time. And it is her friends and lovers that make her who she is.
Oracle #1: She doesn't need him though. She can live without him, he just needs to give her some time. We can't erase the gypsy curse bestowed upon him. He is stuck with it.
Oracle #2: Maybe not. But we do have the power to alter it. The vampire will have his soul. And it shall be one that does not deny him any happiness.
