Buffy was walking. Not to any particular destination... just walking.
Then all of a sudden she knew.
And she ran as fast as she could back to the library.

"Guys get out of here!" Buffy yelled once she crashed through the doors.
"You're getting a lot like Angel with your disappearing acts and warnings of death." Xander stated.
"Well listen to this warning: Get out of here!" Buffy yelled.
"Too late!"
Buffy turned towards the voice. "Angel," she whispered.
"Yeah, it's me, love. Didn't think I would miss the party, did you?"
"I didn't even know that you knew about this."
"Oh, technology is a beautiful thing and it helps to listen in on a few conversations." He threw a small, black metal object towards Willow.
"You bugged the place? And I thought you were some big hater of technology. I mean you don't even have a TV," Buffy quipped.
"I never got around to getting one, did I, love? Guess I should put that on my 'things to do' list."
"Yeah, I guess you should."
All of a sudden the ground started to shake.
"Oh dear!" Giles said.
A hole began to form and a bright light shone through the opening.
Buffy closed her eyes and began to let go. Let her instinct takeover without thinking.
She was glowing and a white flash blinded everyone. When they looked up again, Buffy's clothes had changed into a long, white gown.
The next thing she knew, she felt a great surge of energy. She felt it flowing through her, pushing against the power coming from the Hellmouth. Forcing it back. The white flow of power, flowing from her, grew large and pushed faster, keeping the dark energy from getting out.
< I can't hold this for much longer. > Buffy was starting to lose her strength because of the overwhelming flow of dark energy pushing against her.
Buffy could feel Miss Calendar join with her, the new burst of energy fast and sharp and with one large burst the hole was gone. She collapsed with exhaustion. Everyone ran to her, but Angel got to her first. He growled at them and they back off.
"Angel, I'm okay." She pushed out of his arms and stood up.
Miss Calendar left Buffy's mind and her ghost could be seen by all.
"Jenny!" Rupert yelled.
*Rupert. I love you! Forgive him, it wasn't his fault*
With a look of understanding, he turned towards Angel.
*I forgive you*
Angel looked at her in an odd manner and watched as she disappeared.
"Does it work?" Buffy asked Giles.
He looked at her puzzled for a moment, "Yes... yes... well, it should."
"Do you know how to do it?"
"Yes."
"Then let's get on with it."
Giles pulled out a spell book, the computer print out of the curse translated and an orb. He set everything up while everyone watched on.
Angel stood there watching him, until it dawned on him what he was doing, "NOOOOO!" He screamed and ran.
Buffy still had her energy and was able to stop Angel from running. She did this by forming a wall of energy surrounding him, preventing his departure.
"How? How were you able to find the translation? I destroyed the computer and the printout."
"An old friend told me she had a back up disk and told me where to find it."
"Still you're power. Only the Romani were able to let out so much energy and still be able to hold me."
"I had a Romani friend helping me. Funny how the world works isn't it?"
Giles started the ceremony. Angel started to scream when he felt his soul returning, then slumped over in exhaustion.
"Did it work?" Willow whispered.
"It did," was all Buffy said and she was gone.
She had disappeared into the darkness.
They were never able to find her. Not even with the help of Angel.
She was gone.

Epilogue
During all the happy events in their lives, she was there. They just never knew.
Willow getting married to Oz. She got a great picture of them together.
Xander and Cordelia, a year later tying the knot.
Willow's first child. A little girl named after her.
Giles getting married. She never did find out what his wife's name was, but it was nice to know that he wasn't alone.
Angel. He still lived in Sunnydale. He attended all the weddings, all the childbirths, the graduations and even the parties they held, and she was always on his mind.
During the birth of Willow's second child, he felt her near. He turned, looked around and saw a blond headed girl walking away, around a corner. He ran after her.
"Buffy!" he yelled and started to run after her.
When she heard her name called, she started to run, but he caught up to her and pulled her into his arms.
"Why did you run? Why did you leave?"
"I don't know you! Let go of me or I'll scream!" she yelled at him.
He saw the light reflect off a chain around her neck. He pulled on it and the Claddagh ring appeared. The one he had given her so many years ago.
"Why did you have to see me?" Buffy started to cry.
"Because I've missed you. I love you!" Angel replied.
"I can't be with you."
"Why not?"
"Because if I am with you, you'll lose your soul again."
"No! Not this time. Haven't you noticed? I'm standing out in the sun with you. I'm not burning or melting or combusting."
"How?"
"Because Giles was able to use that translator of Miss Calendar's to translate more of the Romani spells into English, he found a spell to make me human, but be able to stay immortal."
"Oh Angel!" She put her head on his chest and cried.
"It's alright. I'm here. Everything is going to be perfect."
