"There's nothing!" Giles shouted.
"I know. I've been through this before," Angel stated.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I didn't have time to. I discovered the prophecy a week ago. I wanted to research it all before I told you."
"There has to be something that can be done. Something that will kept Willow and Oz from losing their son."
"The only way for that to be allowed is if Buffy takes them to the higher power."
"Then that's what we'll do."
"Mortals can't see the higher power unless they're dead."
"You can see them, though."
"I can, but I'm nothing to them. Not anymore, anyway. A few years ago, I would have been able to plead for the child's life, but now they don't need me. I've already fulfilled my destiny."
"And what was that?"
"To keep Buffy alive."
"Oh... she can't die now, can she?"
"She can die, but she'll keep coming back to life."
"Could she plead for the child's life?"
"Knowing Buffy, she already has."
"So, there's nothing we can do," Giles said glumly.
"Nothing at all," responded Angel.

"I couldn't take my friend's child," stated Buffy.
* Even if it will cost you your life? *
"Even if it costs me my life," she repeated.
* Then so be it. *
A lightning bolt hit Buffy and she collapsed with the pain.

"And you expect me to do that how?" Buffy said through gritted teeth.
* That is up to you. We will no longer call upon you. Farewell. *
Buffy lost consciousness.
