Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters in this story, although they have been twisted for my own use. I apologize profusely to Joss Whedon for my butchering of his creation. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is owned by Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, Sandollar Television, Kuzui Enterprises, 20th Century Fox Television and the WB Television Network. Wow, that's a mouthful!
Author's Notes: Again, everything in the are spoken in Dramoco's language.

Part Thirteen
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What's going on now?" Willow asked Nathaniel from their hiding place in a cave. Nathaniel was watching the beach with binoculars.
"I think Daemon's chanting something," Nathaniel replied. "We should be getting ready."
They had their own small fire. A circle had been drawn in the sand, and several candles were lit as they melted into vanilla scented pools of wax. Ever since the night in the hospital, Willow had become very interested in the arts. She found that she had a natural talent for it. The spell they were doing this night wasn't all that difficult. It mainly entailed some Latin words and smelly herbs.
"Remember," Nathaniel said, "when we see the second flash of light, we begin the spell."
"I hope Daemon's right about this."
"Lissa backed him up. She knows spells."
"Right."
Willow shifted in the sand a bit uncomfortably. She didn't know Lissa, but she got the feeling that the girl was not as withdrawn as she had seemed. There was a kind of docile quality to her. Of course, the only other vampire Willow had ever met that wasn't trying to rip her throat or the throat of a passer by out was Angel. Still, Lissa didn't have a soul. Willow thought maybe Lissa should be a bit more alive acting, even if she was a member of the undead.
"Um, Nathaniel?" Willow said.
"Yes Willow?"
"Was Lissa always as quiet as she was when we saw her in the library?"
"Not exactly. What are you getting at?"
"Well...um...keeping in mind how many vampires I know that were once Watchers, shouldn't she have been a bit more vocal? She didn't seem interested in trying to convince us that Daemon was right. She only said something when she was addressed. You don't think she's under any kind of spell do you?"
"Vampires are usually very resistant to spells."
"Like Angel was?"
"Alright, I get your point. I do have to admit that I have my own doubts. But we're here now, and we can't take the risk. We need Dromoco stopped."
"Got it. Let's do this bad boy."
