Buffy went to Angel's apartment after the medics finished checking everyone over. Everyone else had gone to their own homes, but Buffy's mother was out of town, and she really didn't feel like waiting for Angel to show up there.
Of course, because Buffy was frantic to know if Angel was okay, he wasn't home. Then again, he probably would have gone to her house to see if she was okay after they got separated.
Buffy tore a piece of paper out of his sketch book and wrote him a note:
Angel~
If you made it out of the fire okay, please meet me at the new club on the other side of town. You know which one I mean. I'll be there after sunset tomorrow. I'll wait until midnight. If you're hurt, send a message.
Love~
Buffy
Buffy left the note on his pillow and ran all the way home. After four o'clock in the morning, she could not keep her eyes open any longer. She finally sighed, closed her eyes and fell into a fitfull sleep.

Buffy smiled back and rose to her feet. A second later, there was a brilliant flash of light and orange flames licked up Angel's body, as his expression became one of agony as he was burnt alive. He began screaming, reaching out for Buffy, and she began to scream too.
