Giles and Joyce made it on to the porch when she heard the phone ring, "it could be Buffy." She stated, and headed back inside to make sure just in case. As she went inside Giles headed to his car to start it. He entered the car and placed the key in the ignition. The car made a rumble and what almost sounded like a death rattle, then finally turned over.
As the car started the radio Giles had in his car came on. He was about to reach for the dial to turn it off, when he heard the announcer saying, "the police have yet to announce the names of the four teenaged boys who were brutally murdered earlier this evening. They have no suspects at this time as to who may be responsible for their deaths or the horrible way they were killed. They are contacting the families of the boys at this time. Once again four teenaged boys were found on the lawn of Sunnydale catholic church this evening three were impaled on post driven into the ground the forth boy was nailed to the door. The police ask that if you have any information to bring the parties responsible for such an unspeakable act that you dial 555-7684. In further news...." Giles quickly reached for the dial seeing Joyce exit the house. He knew now that his hunch was right and Buffy was in very real danger.
