Part Six
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I suppose no one wants to stay on this car any longer." Giles said.
No one objected. Giles' car was shuddering and going at its maximum speed of thirty mph. At that pace and condition, it's a miracle that they made it to Sunnydale High before 4 AM.
In less than four hours, school would start.
"I guess it's back to the regular life... the regular freak occurances an stuff." Oz sighed.
"I can't stay here." Buffy said, flatly.
"Why not?" Giles asked.
"I...uh...got expelled." Buffy stated. She shrugged. "Again."
"No one said you couldn't sneak in there." Willow said. "Well, gotta go. Bye!" She waved.
"Uh, me too." Cordelia said. She and Willow walked away.
"When did Willow and Cordelia become friends?" Buffy asked.
"See? Sunnydale's starting to recharge its weird-ness-level already!" Oz said.
"Well I guess we've lost one researcher..." Buffy trailed off. She entered one of the doors of Sunnydale High. She headed for the library.
"Research? For what?" Xander asked, following her.
"For Angelica." Buffy said.
"Angelica?" Giles questioned. He, too, had followed them.
"Ah, I'll explain." Xander said.
When they got to the library, Buffy immediately walked over to the big Vampyr book Giles kept hidden under his check-out desk.
She picked it up and looked up Angelica.
"Well, I've done my good deed of the day--um--night. I might stop by to say 'hi' to Cordelia. Happy researching!" Xander said, then he exited.
The amount of material she found on Angelica surprised her. She had been anticipating Angelica to be a big celebrity, but not a super-star. She found two hundred pages just on Angelica.
"Giles!" Buffy called. "Read this."
Giles came over. "Wo!"
"And it's all for you to read." Buffy said, handing the book over to Giles.
He started reading it, while Buffy hopped over to the computers and typed in a search command for Angelica. She found another book on her. She went over and fetched it off the shelf.
"The Dead Undeads." She read the title aloud. How paradoxal can it get?
She found Angelica: "Angelica Fire was first spotted circa 1500 by a French merchant's son. Traces of her disappeared in 1884. It is assumed that she 'died' that year. What caused it is unexplained. Annotation: The merchant's son, whom, for no discernable reasons, she let lived, recalled meeting a person, later on in his life, who had precisely the same personality as Angelica, 'only she appeared different.'"
She stuck her finger in that page, and carried the book over to Giles.
"Giles, Angeli disappeared in 1884." Buffy stated.
"Yes, I know. I was just reading up on that." Giles gestured at the book. He had skimmed through over a hundred pages already. "It says here, that: 'She has dramatically affected the lives of the following vampyres: Angelus, Drucilla, Spike, Syphil, Zenora.' Who do you think Syphil and Zenora are?"
"Well, she seems to be profound enough already..." Buffy said, ignoring Giles' question.
"'Syphil was the vampyre who created the mysterious Angelica. He died, or traces of him was lost, the year after he created her.' 'Zenora was part of the 'Sypzora couple,' which consisted of Syphil and Zenora. Their relationship is also known by another name: 'Red Leech' coined by French peasants who encountered them. They were known as 'red leech' because of Zenora's memorable red hair and Syphil's leech-like hair colour. Leech may have also derived from their expectable leech-like behavior. A remarkable note about their clan is that none of their offsprings nor them have shown any distaste for sunlight nor of the crucifix.'"
"Leech-like hair color? As in dark black?" Buffy asked.
"Midnight black." Giles stated.
"No weakness to sunlight... hmm... I think I know who Zenora is." Buffy said.
"You do?" Giles asked, surprised.
"She's this waitress named Nora." Buffy stated.
"What makes you think that?" Giles quaried.
"I don't know..." Buffy trailed off.
"Where's Oz?" Giles suddenly asked.
"Didn't he come in with you and Xander?" Buffy asked.
"Ah... no."
"We better go look for him."
"Very well. Is this all the information you could gather?" Giles asked Buffy.
"Yes."
"I should be researching..." Giles said. "But it all seems so useless." Giles shook his head.
They headed out, back to the parking lot, hoping they would find Oz standing next to the car.

Oz was gone. They looked everywhere, but couldn't find him.
Finally, Buffy found footprints. Mudprints, actually. They form an almost straight line, starting from the edge of the only patch of green grass the school could support.
"I guess these must be Oz's." Buffy said, referring to the footprints.
They followed. And saw Oz.
And saw something too unbelievable to believe.
Oz was stuck in a giant plant. Well, a giant plant with a mouth. He seemed to be struggling.
Buffy dashed over. She tried to help him.
Willow and Cordelia suddenly appeared. They snickered, and exchanged a private joke. (too eery to be happening between Willow and Cordy!) Then, Willow made a motion, and the plant which had Oz swallowed Oz and helped itself to Buffy.
Giles charged over, trying to help.
Cordelia snickered, then she made a motion. Another wo/man-eating plant popped out. Cordelia made another motion, and the plant devoured Giles.
"Soon?" Cordelia asked Willow.
"Soon." Willow confirmed.
