This is the second to the last part of the saga Twenty Years Later. Thinking up what to do next is not easy. Well we left the last part with Angel reading the Gospel of Judas and we learned that the vampire/ slayer battle has been one of two families. The family of Judas and the family of Magdeline. Both became vampire/slayer during the crucifixion of Jesus.
Epilogue
"Father Frank" said Angel. Angel had opened up the door and was suprised that the first vampire - Judas. The father of all vampires standing there. Father Frank had been a friend for almost 25 years. Fr Frank had married him to his beloved wife Cordellia. Angel could still not believe that he and his friends have been duped.
"I know you are aware of who i am call me Judas", said Judas.
Angel observed that when Judas said his name it was with just disgust.
"I need to speak to Alexis. She had slayed the last child of mine except for you. I will not harm her or anyone. Please" said Judas in very sad begging tone.
Angel did not quite know what to do then he observed Alexis coming towards them.
"What do you want?" sadly said Alexis. These were the first words spoken since she accidently killed her father who was trying to save Angel.
Angel just looked at Judas and suddenly his game face appeared.
"Get out Judas. You and your children caused enough damage and murder. My goddaughter killed her father because of you. Get out." Angel said the last 'Get out' in a rage. Angel was also thinking of the slayer who loved him and how she died - Buffy. Killed because of his brothers and father.
"You do not understand. When the last vampire dies the last slayer who will be from the house of David shall comfront me and slay me. You are the last but i am determined to defy the laws that were given me. The laws are that if i die before the last of my children i am doomed to exile on a planet without water, air or company. The worst part when i am exiled i can never die." said Judas very tired and sad. "Lonliness my everlasting companion."
Angel's game face slowly disappeared. "But i am the last one before you. I have to die first and i will not now since i have a family."
Angel saw Cordeliaand Willow on either side of Alexis. They said nothing.
"Why can't you just not create any more children?" said Angel trying to figure out a compromise.
"Creating children is an addiction. It is instinctual. I cannot fight it for long. I know that by midnight tonight i will create at least one more. The need ebbs and flows depending on the number. When there are many i can resist but when it is low like now i need to create." Judas said this with his head dropping down. "Alexis must kill me." whispered Judas.
"What about the lonliness and eternal life on a lifeless planet." responded Angel.
Judas just looked at everyone. "I will accept my fate. As long as there have been vampires i wanted the slayer to kill everyone. But not you. You are too good. Alexis here is a stake please you know what you have to do." Judas took the stake out of his jacket and started to walk over to Alexis.
Angel just stayed with Judas making sure he was not up to something.
Alexis started to fill up with tears. "I cannot hurt you. You are my uncles friend and my fathers friend."
Judas bent down to look at her face to face. "You must. Please do it." Judas was also crying and his eyes were just begging.
Suddenly a flash of light. The stake disappeared from her hand.
A woman suddenly appeared. "Buffy" Cordellia, Willow and Angel said.
The woman said. "No i am Mary of Magdeline."
Judas got on his hand and knees.
"Judas get up. You acted with conscious and self-sacrifice. Come feast with me and your friends." Mary held out her hand to Judas.
Judas burst in tears and fell at her feet. "Thank you" he murmoured.
Judas got back and gained composure.
Angel looked at Mary and said, "What about me? Am i also to die? My family".
Mary looked at reached up to Angel's face. "You are a good man. Your death will happen like any other mans. You are now a man."
Angel suddenly realized he could breath and felt life flowing through his lungs.
"Come Judas" said Mary.
Judas took her hand and before they blinked out Judas said, "In a month my dear Cordeliasee your doctor - you will have a bun in the oven. Willow, Alexis i will watch and protect you. Do not worry."
