Willow's Story

"Cordelia, Angel how are you?" exclaimed Willow as she was opening up her front door.

It has been five years since the wedding of Cordelia and Angel.

"Who is this little boy?" sweetly asked Willow.

"You know me Aunt Will I am Rupert!!" defiantly stated the 5 year old adopted son of Cordelia and Angel.

Willow threw her arms around both Angel and Cordelia. Life has taken a bad turn the last few weeks and seeing her extended family was so wonderful. She realized that they were not blood relatives but her love for them was just as intense.

"It is really good to see you!" stated Cordelia hugging her friend/sister tightly against her.

"Ah, i hope you don't mind us bringing our son." said Angel knowing how glad Willow was to see the young Rupert.

"Angel!! You know me better then that. I love seeing my nephew. You should never have asked. Is that Father Frank standing alone out there." asked Willow.

If it was not for this emergency meeting she could have held and hugged her friends forever but more dire problems were at hand.

Father Frank slowly walked over to her. What a sweet man Father Frank is she thought. In many ways Fr. Frank was Angel's watcher. His joy for life so invigorated everyone.

"My dear sweet Willow let me see you. You look so good. Still Willowy you are dear. Is your lesser half here and your cute daughter where is she?"

Willow loved Father Franks compliments. He always knew how to make her feel better.

"Lets walk into the den. Since the incident Giles went back to his books finding answers. I believe he knows but does not want to believe." softly said Willow fearing that if she said it out loud it would be true.

"Ah, the infamous library. You know Willowy Willow he has never let me in. One good thing is i will finally get to see it." responded Father Frank. Willow knew this was his way of lightening their crisis.

"Know Fr. Frank!!!" Willow said in a fake haughty voice. "You know Giles has made copies of everything you need from his library and that he never goes in it except for you" Willow, even though she was playing with Frank, suddenly broke down.

"Father Frank! Your jokes. Well you have bad timing." said Cordelia taking Willow in her arms.

"No it is not Fr. Franks fault. Lets go." Willow stated trying to compose herself.

No one said anything. She looked at her nephew and recalled how pleased Giles was that they were going to name their adopted son after him.

They entered the library and sitting there was Giles going through the Codex. He never even knowledged their existance.

Willow realized that he must have discovered something important since he no longer ignored people let alone her while doing anything. She put her hands on his shoulders.

Giles looked up at her and she realized how absolutely awful he looked. His face was ghost white and tears were rolling down his cheek.

She heard him gently mutter as if death had walked into the room. "Alexis. Alexis."

The others gathered around him. Giles head slowly looked around then looked back at her and said softly taking her hands into his "Alexis, Alexis is a slayer." with that he burst into tears.

She realized that this was their worst nightmare and gently wrapped her arms around Giles and gently cried with him.
